My experience has been that 318's are Tits on a Ritz. Might not win every race but you always get there. Unless you put some gears, cam, headers, and carb and let it eat.
I have a copy of that book. I re read it every now and then. Bob Mullen was a smart guy. People still have good results with W2's over 4 decades later.
I like Carters/Edelbrocks for my neighbors car. Set em and forget em. For my cars its nothing but Holley double pumpers. I very much dislike vacuum secondary carbs for any hot rod.
The car belongs to my neighbor. Its pretty rough but the price was right. 360/727/8 3/4. Good floors and no major wrecks. I say pressure wash it and mini tub it.
I think we have a winner. There are wires going to the trunk latch. I wonder what this came off of. Looks like I have a one of none. Maybe adapted from another car?
Thats what I was thinking. It looks natural. The lighter is offset to make room for something, and the button itself looks period correct mopar. There are no wires connected to it. It has two blade connectors inline.
