I didn't even care what her T shirt said, until someone stated that it said Trump. I wasn't exactly focusing on the letters.

Lets hear your suggestions for a winch for a car trailer.

I'm apparently in the .inority here, but I have had terrible luck with harbor freight winches. I have had four (I know, slow learner). My first 2500 worked well for several years, it just wasn't big enough. Modified a mount, built a box for battery and the 9 ton winch, that quit working at all...

    273 or 318?

Found a post that says: PM = built at mound road plant 273 R = regular fuel 2849 - > 10k cal = Friday, May 16, 1969 0556 - Engine built what yr is my 273?? Interestingly and maybe it started in 69, the stamping doesn't follow previous year codes

Thanks very much for the help! I went ahead and I tracked the entire circuit end to end and narrowed down the damage it starts at the bulkhead connector and goes all the way just before the fuse box area, just ordered the bulkhead block and the connectors and I'm going to run a new brand new...

Doug's headers not fitting - frustration

I ran into header clearance issues with a different set of headers but found that loosening all the column bolts inside the car and then manipulating things under the hood (easier with two people). I gained around 3/8 of an inch.

Doug's headers not fitting - frustration

My car is original/low mile and I didn’t want to cut the steering column tube. If you are willing to make a few minor mods I’m sure it’ll work out.

Doug's headers not fitting - frustration

Damn, was hoping you found a solution with the headers. I have Dougs installed and am about to attempt to install the column in a couple weeks. Glad you found an overall solution for yourself. Sometimes it's best just to do what it takes to get it back on the road.

Lets hear your suggestions for a winch for a car trailer.

I've probably posted this but I spent YEARS, actually DECADES, "leapfrogging" two come-a-longs. They come with slip hooks which are useless. I replace those with grab hooks, and try to convert them so I can "select" whether double or single line. When loading on the trailer, or...

    273 or 318?

Sorry if I sound like a jerk, but clean off the side of the friggin' block and read the casting date for crying out loud. Sometimes you need to get dirty in this hobby. Passenger side:

Dash lights will not turn off!! 72 dart

Those can be a mess. I recommend you spend the time to pull that section out and inspect it. Work? You bet. Remember, these originally were installed or replaced with NO cutting. You may not need to pull it ALL out. Pull some out and if you see the "melt" becoming less, try to identify...

    The road through your windshield

WPPSS affectionately called “whoops” locally due to mismanagement and design problems, it never went operational. It was designed in 1968 too but mine has made power this entire time! Lol

    TTi shorty headers v ministarter

Hmmm, my negative cable runs from the trunk all the way to a lug on the driver's side fender well. From there I run the ground cable to the starter at the bell housing/starter case bolt. All new cable, clean connections/bolts. That's only a few feet longer than running the battery negative...
