Green antifreeze or coolant as some call it.

I did not mean to over engineer it. But, I know very little about antifreeze / coolants, so I thought it could be wise to askt. In addition I have now read about it here and there, and I guess I got some wiser. I sort of felt that I knew so little about it that I had no idea what things meant...

Green antifreeze or coolant as some call it.

I have looked at the Prestone site, and the only thing I find there is a brand called Prime, with low silicate formulation. I don't know if that is good or bad for my Slant Six. Bill

Green antifreeze or coolant as some call it.

Hello to everybody. I have been looking for info about what antifreeze or coolant to use on my 1965 Dodge Dart with a 225 Slant Six. From Norway where I come from originally I am not used to have a lot of options. Some says use a red one, some says use a blue one, some says use a green one...

    1965 Dart Jack and tools

Thank you. I am not too good when it comes to abbreviations, it is not used in Norway like you do here in the US. So, unless I know what it means, I am rarely able to figure it out by myself. :D How about other tools for the Mopar cars back in the 60ties ? Bill

    My second 1965 Dodge Dart.

Now Christmas has passed and the gifts opened. I got 4 Dodge related gifts, so I am as happy as can be. One of them has not arrived yet, but will be coming hopefully in January. That is two 1965 Dart license plate frames for the car. The other 3 gifts were a t-shirt with a red painted Slant Six...

    My second 1965 Dodge Dart.

I finished the painting of the rim for the spare tire on what we in Norway call "little Christmas eve", :D It was supposed to be a Christmas gift to myself. It was quite pitted, but I am very happy to just have a spare rim for a Dart, even if it is from 1964 and have bigger "vent" openings...

    1965 Dart Jack and tools

Hello to the people. :-) From what I understand, the jack on the 1965 Dodge Dart was painted grey. So, my question is, if I find a grey jack for a Mopar A body, can I consider it the right one ? Or was it several types ? Then, was the car delivered with any tools ? Except the lug nut...

    My second 1965 Dodge Dart.

Yesterday, Friday Dec. 20, I sprayed primer on the rim I sandblasted a few weeks ago. It has been in the garage all this time so that was not a problem. But, it was so rusted that I never got it completely clean. I have learned that the primer used on the rims in 1965 was moss green, and I have...

    Mopar model 223 Radio

Yes, that is true. It takes a lot of heat. By the way, I have gotten the schematics and service manual (a minor one) for the 223 and 226. From what I understand it is the same radio, but the 223 was used in the Dart, and the 226 was used in the Coronet. Bendix 56ML. Then today I have been...

    My second 1965 Dodge Dart.

Yesterday I managed to mount the right defroster vent. I have misplaced one of my long pipes for the nuts that also has a 1/4 inch square so it made it very hard to work up there. The left one I got one nut on, and tightened, but the others I did not get on, not even to enter. And I lost one nut...

    My second 1965 Dodge Dart.

On the picture of the speaker it looks like it is a fold in the fabric on the left side. And it is. When I glued the fabric on it was straight, so I wonder if this has to do with temperature changes or moist or whatever it is. The white spot in the middle is actually a shine from the bottom of...

    My second 1965 Dodge Dart.

Still quite wet outside. The engine was readjusted and runs fine when it is warm, but I did not adjust the choke. Will look into it later, at least it runs fairly ok on idle. Need to hook up the tachometer to set the right idle speed. When I took off the masking tape on the dash, some paint...

Well, back then all mufflers was POS. Original ones too, they just lasted a few years at least if you lived in an area with a lot of moist / rain, maybe winter and snow too. All of them seem to have become better. Bill

Isn't that heat wonderful, if you go outside a little and get cold, and you then come in and stand in front of it, not too close of course, but to feel you get warmed up again. I just loved mine. Bill

My wife's 06 Charger with 5.7 liter Hemi has a problem with sludge under the oil filler cap. It happens mostly during wintertime and when driving in the city for too long with no long trips. But, the filler tube is made of plastic I think, the cap too. But, the sludge is obviously formed by oil...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Oh my, you and my dad would have been on the same page. He was a truck owner and driver and was clearing snow in the winter. And he hated when these young boys were going to a drinking party on a Friday evening, in a white shirt on the skin, a thin summer jacket, black suit pants, summer socks...

I wonder how a 273 in a 65 Dart would sound with Trush mufflers. All I hear about is the Flowmasters, no one seem to talk about Trush anymore. I remember they were popular in the 80ties in Norway, but that is all I know about them. Bill
