FRAUD ALERT. Let me give you a warning.

Yes I'm seeing that one Facebook and various place with a piece of paper. Try to place it so if you cropped the picture, it would crop your part too. Some I see with their name and phone number. Like was said before, that's probably not great idea. Even your screen name over the picture would...

    426 Wedge possible install challenges

A 340 block open market will cost $800 or probably more than a comparable 360 block. So motors you would buy in whatever stage long block, short block, carb to pan will reflect that difference. If you were having the motor built, that $800 extra would pay for the upgrade to a stroker 360 with...

    426 Wedge possible install challenges

A 360 is more easier on pocketbook. visually and fit-wise identical to a 340. And a little bit more torque for a convertible cruising machine.

What is the best/worst you've done when selling at a swap meet?

If other sellers do not come because of rain, that reduces your competition of sellers.

What is the best/worst you've done when selling at a swap meet?

Fall Fling 2016 This pic was near end of day. Sold a ton of stuff real early. I had stuff packed on these tarps ! See how they are empty. There was light rain in the days before. And it was a light spectator turnout.

What is the best/worst you've done when selling at a swap meet?

I did $5500 at a Fall Fling. Bought out a huge stash of E-body parts from a guy to get a fraction of cool items out of the total. It was a FULL U-haul box van full of parts. I didn't have a place to store that much stuff. I had stuff laying out in my backyard, in my living room, in a full...

    Great weekend at Spring Fling

Jim, great car. People really double took on the dual carb setup. You made it very clean and sanitary. Well executed.

    Beware new member "Prints Valiant"

I think you can't stop at one Green Flag. You gotta check multiple flags and put together a case if you want to do business with this person. I know that's some work for those that sell a lotta parts. Oh well, you could go to a swap meet and sell your stuff in person for cash.

    Beware new member "Prints Valiant"

That name he choose is way to close to Princess Valiant and he says he’s from Colorado too. That’s a big red flag that he could be using similar names to higher posting members to scam people thinking he’s someone he’s not. PayPal seems to always favor buyer in these cases. That’s why people...

Pink 70 340 Duster goes for $62K on Mecum

Had to have well over $100K in that Mike Mancini resto. Then the NOS parts bill… Had to have paid $15-$25K for it around 10 years ago for the base starting point. It was a nice driver/survivor-ish to start. Maybe broke even. Doubtful. Very doubtful. But owner got to enjoy owning the car...

Finally got permission to post up my buddy’s 71 duster

He didn't say that. He said 1972 Duster Twister models also came with sharktooth grille. Twister's are /6 and 318 motors. But 1972 340 cars did not have the round "barracuda type" rallye gauges. That ended in 1971.

    NOS Beware

Mispackaged part. That's why it hasn't been put on car in decades? Did seller show picture of contents before sale? Most big NOS sellers don't seem to do that. One of the downfalls from those types.

    69 Formula S bids up to 82,000

I think a lot of these miss the body line. Even with original quarters. To me the remote mirror car is pretty major too. But in theory it could be fixed independent of the exterior paint.... weld in plug, grind smooth, bondo, repaint all of black inside the driver door, mask entire car...

    69 Formula S bids up to 82,000

There were no M-code convertibles. And all M-codes are automatics. The 340 4spd convertible is rarer that an M-code. And the paint color is pretty uncommon also. And a desirable color too. But... rare does not always mean it's a desirable as other cars.
