cast iron headed small block heading for 5's in the 1/8 !!!

I wouldn't even consider it impressive really. It's only ran low 6s with a 300 horse nitrous kit?

    300 shot, and adding more

What would you build if limited to 372ci - with boost as an option

I recommended that platform, because it has everything you need allready designed in. Probably pick up a used one cheaper than building a lowdeck BBM

What would you build if limited to 372ci - with boost as an option

    8.800 to 9 if I recall correctly

R5P7 nascar smallblock is what I'd be thinking

    Edelbrock Victor small block head……

If that's the case, you will likely have more broken parts in the near future.

    Big block oiling mods

If you have the single line pickup external pan, and the oil pump to go with it, it's a BIG improvement over the internal pickup. Even drilling the factory passage to 1/2" still leaves a abrupt turn right after the threads. Mega restrictive

Jr Dragsters. Is this what our sport is becoming

Grumpy Jenkins was one of the biggest A holes to ever show up at a race track. No class jerk

    6.0005 to start the day

Hey, @pittsburghracer what does that hot rod weigh? Just curious

    @Pittsburghracer

I bought it at a auction, a shop was going out of business. When I called land and sea about it, they wouldn't even answer questions about it until I paid them $2500 for the "license fee" I believe they are out of business now. I sold it immediately thereafter

    @Pittsburghracer

I sold a land and sea dyno 2 years ago for 5k. Those things are no longer supported, you would need newer software, and if something breaks, you are out of luck. By the time you update it, you could buy something much more modern.

    What will it run

Probably make a "honest" 425-450 hard to say what it will run, that depends on chassis, converter and track

Has anyone ported stock magnum heads and have the before and after flow numbers .???

I can tell you in MY experience on the china magnum head, not the good "EQ" version of old, 270 @ .500 is not to difficult, it's all valve job, (2.02) bowl sizing, guide shape, and some pinch trimming. Not what I'd consider "fully ported" but more of a well executed bowl and valve job. Not much...

Details - Flipping Pistons earns 5,000 dollars - LITERALLY ??

What if he hadnt used his map gas torch on the nitrous bottle? Lower pressure could have mad a difference

Details - Flipping Pistons earns 5,000 dollars - LITERALLY ??

I get what your trying to correlate there, but its flawed premise. What if UT took a big dump before the race? What if caspers tires were slack, what if his carburetor loaded up, all those things MIGHT have been a factor, but he lost at the TREE, zero way to attribute that to his piston flip...

Details - Flipping Pistons earns 5,000 dollars - LITERALLY ??

That's a standard practice to equal weights up on pistons before ballancing.

Details - Flipping Pistons earns 5,000 dollars - LITERALLY ??

Actually Casper was faster AND quicker, it was the sleeping on the tree that made the difference. That's got nothing to do with flipping pistons.

    Building your own headers.

Yes, he definitely could do the adapter plates. Which could open up WAY more possibilities. Have someone machine a adapter plate from the LA pattern, to the chevy pattern, and there would be a pretty good chance of finder a chevy chassis header that would clear. All sorts of options!

    Building your own headers.

Wait till you try to fit those bigger tubes into the narrow LA exhaust bolt spacing

    Casper vs Bottle Rocket !

Maybe I should challenge him to a race with my 3200 lb duster. Actual full interior street car, with a iron stock stroke pump gas 340, iron heads, 727, gears and 26" slick. It runs 6.80s through the mufflers, pump gas, right off the highway. No nitrous, no power adders.

    Casper vs Bottle Rocket !

I found the video where he was talking about it, he showed no time slip, they edited out the end of the run so you couldn't see the time on the scoreboard. He did say he had a custom converter built for it, and he sprayed the nitrous the entire run. I'm still not impressed, a 3k pound gutted...

    Casper vs Bottle Rocket !

So no proof, just another "claim" with zero evidence it seems. Like 4 1/2 years ago when he claimed it was going to run 10s in the 1/4 mile with a od 4 speed and a 8 1/4 rear....
  25. replicaracer43

    Casper vs Bottle Rocket !

You got a link to the video claiming the 7.70 run? That's probably about right if he sprayed it with 150 shot the whole pass
  26. replicaracer43

    Casper vs Bottle Rocket !

Exactly, nothing but a "quick buck" scam. Also, where in the world did you see that turd run anywhere near the 7s? Fastest I ever saw was very high 8s
  27. replicaracer43

    Casper vs Bottle Rocket !

That pickup is pretty fast! I dont understand how hes going to seriously race a slug 318 powered taxi that has proven in 4 YEARS of refinement, still cant run any faster than I believe 8.80s...its gonna be a gimmick!!!

    W2 Heads

Only the REAL early ones had the single LA bolt pattern, they went to dual pattern right after.
  29. replicaracer43

    W2 Heads

I think the early versions like this were all open chamber
  30. replicaracer43

    W2 Heads

Early castings, freeze plugs in end are a give away. You wont like this, but in my opinion they are the LEAST desirable of all the W2 versions. They have the LA exhaust bolt pattern, no decent bolt on headers due to port mismatch. Short turn has a very weird oval shape they quickly went away...
