the shorter the shifter arm the shorter the throw between gears. i had a 70's toyota corolla that someone had cut the shift arm way down and i could shift that sucker flat to the floor and so fast you couldn't hardly feel the gear change. i drove a fox body mustang once that had an after market...
if this is the same trans i remember reading about it had top shelf internals. i think it was all liberty parts. the gears were even cryo freeze treated i think. that is alot of money in that box.
