    The Lucky Kid

At the start of the school year in 2018 we had a high school kid come to the shop for the work program. Seemed ambitious and a decent worker. I took him under my wing and tried to teach him about the ins and outs of automotive mechanics. He was a quick learner and had a good grasp on the...

REPEAT MISTAKE: NEVER LEAVE A PART AT A GARAGE FOR LATER-LCA ISSUE

If you can turn it by hand, even if it's difficult, there's nothing wrong with it. The shop did nothing wrong. That end of the LCA never has the two ends lined up the same and as mentioned are almost always lose anyway.

    15x8 w/ 4.5” BS on front/good handling size?

Yeah, I did say on the factory front end .............. and I don't see OP setting up his "cruiser" like yours. However; I applaud you for making it work, cuz; I made it work on the factory 68 to 72 front end, with the KH 4pots, at 4.25 bs; and I know how much work that was.

How important is 1psi of fuel pressure?

Tim, Post #29. Do you mean that adding the nozzle increases flow? If so, that is incorrect.

REPEAT MISTAKE: NEVER LEAVE A PART AT A GARAGE FOR LATER-LCA ISSUE

It just rotates when you adjust ride height. And that’s very little rotation. Don’t make it sloppy. If it move but lot of resistance, that’s fine. The force from the adjuster screw vs force of the weight of the front end will overcome resistance. Just don’t leave it stuck.

HELP figuring cam lift ( maybe actual purple shaft p/n?

If it has 0.380+" lobe lift, then the lobes are already going to be small & unlikely suitable for re-grinding. What engine/car specs/usage? More info so a cam suggestion can be given.

Lets hear your suggestions for a winch for a car trailer.

I ended up buying a HF 12k winch for my new trailer, along with a HF hitch mount since my trailer came with a receiver exactly that purpose. Have hauled a few cars with it already, no issues whatsoever. Obviously time will tell, but for the price it won't have to do a whole lot before it's paid...

Here you go, Piston area and force.

Mattax, I have had no interaction with 'harrisonm' in this thread or any other thread that I can think of. In post #96 he chose a personal attack on me. That is fine, I am a big boy. But when you do that, expect a return serve......which is what I did. What post #96 showed is his lack of...

    15x8 w/ 4.5” BS on front/good handling size?

I’ve run 15x8 steel rallyes with 4.5 backspace. With 73-76 Disk conversion and stock Upper Control Arms. And with 12” police rotors and pin calipers. So a 15x7 with 4.5 backspace will also work On my Barracuda and my Dart

Wiring diagrams are in the service manual(s). '72 may have a Body Manual with additional electrical diagrams. Earlier years everything is in the chassis diagram. www.mymopar.com --> service manuals The diagrams will show which wires connect to which position in a connector. They are...

    The Lucky Kid

Pretty much all my life if I wanted something it showed up before long. Doesn’t work with money though, I have tried. So we had a motorhome trailer, dirt bikes and such for the kids and I and we used to go for 2-5 day camping and riding. Wife used to ride but gave it up. Kids grew up, got jobs...

    15x8 w/ 4.5” BS on front/good handling size?

I would just stay with custom 15x7 rim with 4.75” bksp. And a 225/60/15 tire. But need aftermarket upper control arm. And need check rim lip thickness/design. Otherwise the next tire is a 275/50/15 Nitto Drag Radial. That I hear is a better handling tire than BFG/Cooper stuff. For that wide a...
