Found my dads original 1971 duster!

Question guys. We had the key turned in the on position yesterday while hooking up lights etc. Car was never running. We probably had the lights etc on for a combined 2 hours or so. The alternator and coil were hot to the touch. Without the car ever running. Does this mean that I have a short...

Can you post a picture of the back of the crankshaft? This would probably give us a better idea of what you are working with.

Here you go, Piston area and force.

Piston area × PSI in the cyl = pounds force on the piston, which is almost directly transferred to the con rod. Now in that, any one cyl block can only be poked so far. Also, is this question limited to boring, or comparing the torque developed between two engines of equal displacement? Are the...

True, even when you buy parts from the local autopart store instead of online you still find manufactures that don't care about quality or customers, check out this voltage regulator that did not fit at all. And here is the Motorcraft regulator Not only was the mounting plate not cut correctly...

HELP figuring cam lift ( maybe actual purple shaft p/n?

If you had to have a MP cam for that, and it had to be a SFT, and if they were still budget friendly(and actually available), that really sounds more like a place where a .528 cam would be a decent choice(as opposed to the .557). I’d use the specs of one of those and look for something similar...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

I heard from a reliable source that the circle track racers in the San Joaquin are begging the new owners of the track to get a schedule in place soon. "It's too hot over here in the Valley to race!" 3 tracks over there I can think of take July and August off cuz of the heat.

505 blower motor on the dyno

Getting ready to run a 505 inch blower motor on the dyno. We'll run it first with NA with a carb and then once the engine condition is verified we'll add the blower. Should make around 600 hp NA and then make more than 700 hp with the blower. Engine has a gear drive so it will be noisy. Going...

    Master Cylinder Pushrod Retainer Question

It was a long time ago, so I don’t remember for sure, but I think I just asked them for a 67 Barracuda drum brake MC. I now use a Dr. Diff 15/16 MC, which is great. I’m not sure if it works with drum brakes, but it would be worth asking Cass.
