Stop in for a cup of coffee

I saw a thread from a fellow that bought an old tune up machine. I can't find it now. It must have been on one of the other sites. He was talking about it being powered by lantern batteries.

Nice build, great thread! How much boost are you running? What’s your total timing?

Well at least the forums are running smoothly today. I bet it was a bad plug in update. THey should be able to test them before installing I would think. I'll have to ask my kids. LOL

    Fresh carnage!

You should be good. I usually torque everything 2 to 3 times with a wait between. So not sure how Loctite would work if you tighten it after it has set up. Loctite is technically a sealant, but some are adhesives in some strengths. Blue Loctite may have prevented that carnage.

    1965 Valiant brake woes

If it were me, I would ditch all of the aftermarket stuff, get a manual drum/drum master for a 69 Dart, which is the same unit as manual disc, and go back to the stock setup. The pushrod would be easy to source right here, I have a couple laying around. This is exactly why I prefer the factory...

I don't remember if the Ford fenders were fiberglass or plastic or that running board. if fiberglass they both take the same amount of time I think. If Plastic, then the fender would be easier.

7 hours left.... Going to be interesting to see the snipers come out in the last minutes. No reserve https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1993-ford-f-350-10/#comments-anchor

    Camshaft Experts

I'm decided to avoid changing the rockers for that reason, as well as a few others. These heads are maxed out as far as they will go. I love dyno testing. I'll be posting the results and the nice thing is I already have a baseline for the existing combo pre-changes.

Stop in for a cup of coffee

The pre 40s stuff interchanges alot between manufacturers. Great example 1937 dodge is also Delco, Ford, Hudson, Franklin etc. Hardest thing is ID ing them. Thankfully I have some ignition IPB:s from the 40's back I get calls for weird stuff all the time by restoration shops. Sometimes have...

    Goodbye Torqstorm, hello Spoolius Ceasar

Its a hugh learning curve at least for me with EFI, I just used the jeep cam position sensor with mine, I forget who made the adaptor to it or I have the one Mad Dart made with a stock distributor, if you want to use that you can. Coil near plug is the way to go with some ls coils, the MS3...

    Maximizing flow limited combos?

But would the same be true for an older factory head design with less efficient exhaust ports ? Modern heads have way more efficient exhaust ports .
