    Brakes

i'd suspect a bad booster to start. but i'd bet there's other forces at play here... after that we'd need more info: has it been sitting, when was the last time the brakes were serviced (flush & bleed), has any work been recently done-- specifically brakes, but other things apply as well, is...

    340 head, intake advice please

^^^ this right here. you've got everything apart. now is the time to check, verify or change anything.

    340 head, intake advice please

i'll echo what the others have said upthread and go with snapping it together and running it. if you wanted to get saucy you could gasket match it up, but that's wholly unnecessary. dry fit it up before laying down any gaskets and sealing goop to make sure everything fits up properly. you...

    LCA bushing fear

exactly. after i press the pin out i usually just get in there with a BFS and pry out what's left of the bushing. after that you're left to your own devices on what to do with the sleeve. or, like not do in the case of non-stock bushings.

    LCA bushing fear

i would 1000% replace that. on the R&R job, it's really not all that difficult if you have tools-- you can buy the fancy-schmancy ones or just get caveman on it. you have a press, a big air compressor and know what an air chisel is so i have a feeling you know your way around the shop. you...

    NOS booster mounting bolts oddity

same here, i've always heard them called stovers. Stover B's nearly as ubiquitous as Bofa D's nuts.

    15x8 w/ 4.5” BS on front/good handling size?

exactamundo. 15x7 is standard cop wheel (with 4.25 BS) and fits wonderfully, but you can't go much wider than 215 depending on ride height and aspect ratio. but then the issue is that with the smaller diameter rim you can't get much more backspace because you'll get into the tie rod or upper...

    Holy Crap, Hot.

...cooler it's still hot enough to sap any motivation to do work. had to make an impromptu yard run to nab some wheels for the bmw project, 100* even in the parking lot. joint was like the surface of mars, eerily quiet with the far off noise of the dump sounding like weird outer space noises...

    Stupid Drywall Question

home is where you make it, bro. no shame in the game. i lived in my shop for about two years while i built out/reno'd my house. rigged up a garden hose shower and cooked on propane/charcoal grill or white gas camping stove for a good part of it. i don't know if Dr. The Mrs. would go for that...

Cheap *** headers at it again!!

it's a shame the lord didn't gift you a sense of humor. but then again, we can't all be perfect. go out side and watch some fireworks. touch grass. dream about whatever car it is that you're not gonna buy.

    15x8 w/ 4.5” BS on front/good handling size?

...with stock suspension you can disregard. or maybe use as a very loose guide. so you've got the increased track width of the BBP spindle, and i *believe* the wilwood adds some to that as well, with the hub pushing the WMS out even further. i'd hazard a guess that 3.75 BS isn't going to...

    15x8 w/ 4.5” BS on front/good handling size?

let's start with what brakes/front end do you have, because the later 73~76 disc set up adds width up front. but generally, you should be able to get a 5~8" rim up there if you're not going for max tire and the car isn't excessively lowered.
