Let's second guess Herb since we are much smarter.......Eagle failures? show us the info, I ran the snot out of 416 with those despicable parts...must be lucky. Cam selection looks a bit light even for me, typically everyone over-cams the stoker and then wonders why it is so lazy Exhaust...

    Too Hot

Hello world, the car is not overheating, 240 would be over heating 200 is not hot...today's fuel dictates a 195 degree min operating temp, 60% water 40% antifreeze, a bottle of coolant conditioner, a high flow 195 degree t stat and a blocked manifold heat control crossover. Installing small cam in Stroker?

Some smart individual on another mopar site made 550 hp or so in a stroked 383 with the 484 cam...Having built and ran more than one stoker engine my experience agrees with the smart people seen above. It is not required to have a a big cam in a stroker engine to make the big power but you do...

    Adding timing chain tensioner

 timing chain tensioner works great, any problems are from defective assembly and poor choice of timing chain. Loose chains cause late & erratic timing. If the engine guy says it's not needed it's time for a new guy

    Ball joint drop brackets?

Thank you 72 bluNblu for the factual write up, this guy is full of $%^& A big fat charger can be made to handle/ride/drive very very well without getting crazy and it does not need those hokey brackets. Proper choice of hardware and tire size does wonders for these old cars

    A833 shifting problem

bad transmission as nothing has been said to indicate condition.... bell housing alignment is off - this causes the complaint if everything else is correct, a roller bearing pilot will exacerbate this.

Beginner Road Racing: Transmission Question for Budget and Angry Knee

What road course turn results with an automatic car down in 1st gear? 20-30 minute run group? time for a new track event. Try 45 minutes. I ran laps with automatics in various flavors of cars. If there is enough stall speed and engine you should only need 2-3 all day long.

Why is the wheel bearing grease leaking out of the dust cap?

I learned from years of going very very fast and trying to stop very quickly from 3 digit speeds that the front wheel bearings like 110-130 inch pounds of torque on the nut. Period. This is not some arbitrary number but the result of testing, testing and more testing. YMMV As far as the rear...

Hard downshift from 2nd gear to first. A-833 4-speed.
