Many moons ago, that was a way to make a stroker... 360 crankshaft with the mains turned down to fit a 340 block... it resulted in a 372 (I think) cubic inch engine. My friend went this route with w2 heads. It ran really well. I believe some manufacturers are making these... Something to...

10 PSI per 1000 RPM is a bare minimum. I'd want it higher. I wish I was of more help.

Does it make this noise after an aggressive launch and you lift off the throttle a little bit... that's when the noise occurs? Kind of like loose rocker arms? Reason why I'm asking is I hear a similar noise in my engine and I cannot figure this out...

So, black was never an option?? The 340 in my car is a 68 casting and it is black... I take it that the previous owner painted it his own color?

So, after following this thread to its entirety, one take that I get it that someone really needs a flow bench to make sure that each port flows the same. Otherwise, you will have a cylinder that will be just "along for the ride".... Like a fat kid on a rowing team.

Do your homework and get prices for everything. It might be easier and cheaper to just get an engine from Blueprint or another builder of your choice. It'll save time too. Just throwing it out there.
