Hmmm, where can I get one of these ball joint reams?

    Upper control arm advice

My fault. I posted this in Suspension as well and listed all of those particulars in that post. I forgot to do it in this post.

    Upper control arm advice

Yes, it looks that way. I would like to have the adjustability, but not at the cost of giving up my Wilwood brakes.

67-72 A Body, with late disc spindles. In other words, the big ball joint. Spoke to Peter at Bergman just now. they are big ball joint UCA's, but QA1 does make a UCA for the small ball joint. Not as adjustable but it already comes with positive caster so should be able to get the readings I...

SPC does not have them for A Body. Bergman does not have them for A Body before 1973

    Upper control arm advice

Nope. For the 73 and newer a body. I called them. They want me to buy their ucas then spend another thousand to swap to b or e body brakes/spindles.

Looking for adjustable UCA that uses the small ball joint 1970 Duster

Looks like years of wheels up launches have taken their toll on the front end of my duster. Alignment shop can get it close, but it won't go to positive caster or correct camber any more. I'm looking for adjustable UCA's for this car, but everything out there seems to be for 1973 and newer...

Looking for A Body adjustable upper control arms for small ball joint (1970)

Trying to find a manufacturer that makes Adjustable UCA for 1970 Duster. Everything I've seen is for '73 and later and uses the big ball joint.

Looks like they don't sell upper control arms by themselves

    Upper control arm advice

I have been running OEM control arms since rebuilding all of the stock front end stuff 10 years ago. This is a car that goes wheels up every pass. I'm wondering if I should go aftermarket on control arms at least, but which ones to get? QA1 looks good but not adjustable. Adjustable ones...

No prep Kings screws the pooch in Texas

I should have said "they were still taking money after they moved the race for a few days". As you noted they aren't anymore and they are showing that event as canceled. One of the issues is some people thought they were paying their money to the track, which they weren't.

Actually npk chose to move it to another track.

    Quarter Mile Gear Selection

I have 4.56 and 29.0 slicks in my bracket car and cross the 8th mile stripe at 6700 to 6800 rpm. I tried 1/4 with those gears and 32.0 tire and was running out of motor before the stripe. Rev limiter was set at 7500.

    Quarter Mile Gear Selection

If you go with 4.56 and a 29.0 slick you'll be crossing the line at 7300-7600 rpm. How high you intend to Rev your motor should help you to answer your question

No prep Kings screws the pooch in Texas

Way cheaper than NASCRAP, much closer to the carnage, you can pay extra to stand near the start line and stupidly risk injury or death.

No prep Kings screws the pooch in Texas

Yeah but lots of people want to see them blow up or wreck so they make lots of money. It's sad.

No prep Kings screws the pooch in Texas

According to officials at Xtreme Raceway Park in Ferris Texas, No Prep Kings has decided to pull it's racing event contracted to be at their track. NPK contacted Xtreme and asked to reschedule the event they had contracted for the weekend after July 4th due to "low advance ticket sales". They...

How old are you and how long have you raced

I'm 63 and have been racing for 12 years. Used to race on the streets a lot when I was a teenager. My older brother and I raced his Javelin at a track just outside the Army post I was stationed at for about a year or so, then college, job, responsibility. I retired 12 years ago and went with...

How do those temps look for a 4 day race weekend

It may be time to invest in one of those cool suit systems for sitting in the lanes. Racing is fun and a lifestyle but it's not worth risking your health, especially if there's a way to help to deal with it.

    727 shifting in drag race??

Don't know have never tried it. I just assumed that from a stop the transmission would shift into 1st.

    727 shifting in drag race??

With the manual valve body you can start your burnout in 2nd gear which will keep you away from the sprag and give you a higher rpm at the tires without over revving the motor.

    Kudos to Summit Racing!

Good job Summit Racing Equipment! My harness expires at the end of the month so I had to buy a new one. The new one came in yesterday and expires December 2026, so I'm getting an extra 6 months out of it!

    Weekend Win at LVMS!

I don't see how you can stand those temps! I was out at the track for Sunday TNT yesterday trying to lean things out for summer heat. 95-98 degree temps and humidity in the 65% range. I was dying!

    Post your 10 second combo

Reducing weight is the least expensive thing to do. Then I would go to a 4.10 or 4.33 gear and an 8" converter, 5500rpm. Assuming it is race only.
