Oh I agree with you.
I was just wondering if they were supposed to have the H.P. on them or not.
in fact, a lot of the blocks that I have seen from that era have the front motor mount bosses in them so they will fit A-Bodies or anything else for that matter.
I'm just trying to clarify things for...
Okay, i see my error now.
H.P. in at around 5600 and and torque is in at 3400.
Nice for a street car especially if it's a light cruiser with say 3:55s that you don't want to rev to the moon!
The max torque is all in at 2100, and the max H.P. is in at 5,800.
What a great street engine with a lot of grunt low in the R.P.M. range!
Looks like this engine would be great for a tow vehicle or a nice sporty little street car.
What was the displacement, and was the crank internally or...
With those casting dates I would say yes, they are originally off a 340 but '73 340 and '74 360 will interchange and function the same.
The casting date usually precedes the car's build date by about 2 months or so, and they built 340 Dart Sports and Dusters until the third week in July of '73...
How bad do you want a 340?
Not worth it to me, but it might be to you.
That being said, measure everything and look closely for cracks and flaws especially in the main web area.
The best small block to build a stroker out of?
That's debateable......
If you find someone who is doing a resto on one of these cars, it's worth the $225 you are asking.
A cheap *** not interested in original parts won't pay much.
The price is decent, some pics would help, and i bet it's not selling because shipping would be pretty high.
Personally, i would clean it up, get it resurfaced, take some pictures of it, and post a price for it shipped to any one in the lower 48.
I just put a fuel filler tube out of a '75 Duster in my '74 Dart Sport yesterday and it fit like a glove.
So i would say this filler neck would fit a Dart Sport too.
Just trying to help your sale, that's a good price.
GLWS!
I have one of the 3880905 driver's side a body 360 manifolds. The port size is the same as a 360 truck manifold that i have, i measured them just this morning.
The openings are approx. 1 1/8'' on the single ports, and about 2 15/16'' across the middle port.
The a body manifold has a bell at the...
Sorry to hear about your problems.
That bonehead ''friend'' of yours really sucks, and adds insult to injury.
Drunk my ***. He knew what he was doing or he wouldn't have been so selective on the parts he stole, but it is still a lame excuse.
He is a common criminal who got what he deserved...
Look at the casting dates on the manifolds, they are pretty darn clear to me. Kimmer is right on this and so is crackedback, but they are still a good price in my opinion.
They look to be for a late '73 340 by the casting dates to me.....
A bit harsh, but you know what?
You're right..... and in line on the topic for your reasons stated.
However, i would have minded my own business.
Too late now.
