Recheck the fuel filter and see if its clean? If thats not pluged make sure the line is clear from the tank to the pump. If you ran it in on some old gas? it might be that the Plugs are just pissed off? might throw another set at it just to be sure?

Throw a set Super Stock Accel wires on it and see if that fixes the problem....
If its still popping... Check the valve springs....

Just my 2 cents
Make sure the motor has the rite drive pulleys on it.... Pick up a 180* thermostat.....
Pick up the 6 or 7 blade Viscus fan and clutch.... Install a full fan shroud..... reinstall your 50/50 mix with 1 bottle of redlines water wetter....
