So it probably cost you about $55-$60 in material a little time. You got about 20" between the tire and the floor. I think it looks like a pretty good idea. Good luck getting that trans. sorted out Jeff.
I have a Hobart 140 handler. I love it. Easy to use. Parts are readily available at places such as rural king, truck and tractor supply, etc....you can use gas or flux.
I bought a Hobart Handler 140 about a 1 1/2 ago. Taught myself how to weld with it. I don't know how I ever fooled with these old car's with out a welder.
Greg, You live in Prescott Valley!!!! My Mother & Father in law just spent three weeks out there. They were at a friends house. They are talking about moving out there. Small world. They said it was beautiful.
Congrats, when I was a teenager. My family had a Mom and Pop store with a garage attached, had a single pole lift. You could put the car on and literally spin around 360 degrees. It was a cool time in my life. I wish you the best.
I bought the Hobart 140 a few months ago at Northern Tool they had a online coupon for $50 off. That little machine rocks. Even if your not a great Welder it very friendly to use. After the coupon I paid $450 plus tax.
That's pretty stand up of you to take it back, but what if he ruined something else on the bike while he had it.
I hate to be the Devil's Advocate. I'm just sayin.
