    Towing comparisons

A year and a half ago, I sold my 05 2500 more door with the 5.9 Cummins and picked up a low mileage 19 2500 megacab 6.7 Cummins . No emissions on the 05 and the 19 has both the egr and Def - both will get deleted the 1st time wither has a malfunction. Comparing both trucks in unmodified form...

    And so it continues.....

In 2011 when our oldest was 14, we brought home the 65 B'cuda and had it done for the 2nd half of his senior year of high school. In 2022, our 2nd born was 14 and we dragged home the 73 Sport that some of you are following as we are in the middle building it. We have a year and a half to make...

    Sixpack on a 318 engine ?

Speaking from experience here..... I put a 6 pack set up on the 318 in the 69 Fury ragtop that I had for 17 years. All stock original long block, except I put a 68 340 cam in it. Stock convertor and 3.55 gears. That land yacht would still pull 18mpg if I kept my foot out of it.. not a rocket...

    Blower motor in the Dakota

Common problem. 2003 Dakota blower motor resistor and plug. Original owner gave me a new replacement kit when I bought the truck. He had done it once about 8 years ago.

    Josh's 73 Dart Sport - "Fred"

Well, we got a little more done this week. Ended up building this side out of 3 pieces of metal. Not close to being pretty yet, but he's learning a lot. A little (lot) of weld grinding is on tap and then he can become a mud sculptorer. We also cut the fuel door recess out of my 68 B'cuda qtr...

Freak hit and run today !

Tag axle? Like the auxiliary wheel that can be deployed on the bigger dump trucks when they are loaded to the max? Thats what I'm thinking it is.

Met Mr Martin at Carlisle this morning

A few years ago, Richard Petty was there. The line to meet him mid day started when they opened the gates. As much as he is my childhood hero, I was not going to stand in line for 4 hours in that heat for a 15 second hello. I did see him from outside his set up tho. The following year, my...

The heat.... it's July and to be expected. Hydrate or diedrate. Shopping crowds? I agree that the swap area did not feel as crowded as last year. Less bumping into people while window shopping. Show field? 3100+ cars. It was packed. Accommodations? We stay at a Thurs-Sun at Campground at...

Interesting. What are the odds of this?

Now that you mention it, the training center I taught at for work ... the key to the training lab was the same as my house key.

Interesting. What are the odds of this?

So I realize there are only so many tumbler combinations for a given key type. However, who'd a thought my Shelby Dakota key and the key to my son's Dart Sport are the same. Had ignition keys made for the Sport at Carlisle and realized it is the same. Imagine that.

Didn't Make It Home From Carlisle

Back in 86, I had put a 440 in a 71 B'cuda. The electric choke wire melted to the intake once and blew both mufflers open with a grenade of a backfire. Car died. Picked the wire up off the intake and started it up and drove on.

Carlisle finds and surprises. What ya got?

Josh picked up a $200 mopar go wing to put on the 73 Sport (Fred) that we are building and a very clean uncut and soft/flexible underhood harness from the firewall to the headlights and park/turn lights for $10. Me? Totally unexpected 1st place in my class on the showfield with the Shelby. I...

Met Mr Martin at Carlisle this morning

Parked the Shelby and walked to the guest services building. Took us right past the set up where Buddy Martin is set up. He was alone just looking over his display board. Had a very personable 1 on 1 convo with him.
