After much thought, I decided to ditch the stock evaporator and install a modern unit from Vintage Air. Here it is mounted under-dash and ready to wire and plumb.

Rims came in two weeks ago and tires arrived late last week. Here's what the rear looks like mounted up. Ignore the blue tape which has some incorrect info. These are 17x9.5 inch rims, and the tires are 275x40's. These look HOT, if I do say so myself! :burnout:

Last couple of shots for the day... Here's the turbo installed, along with the new oil and coolant lines. The finger is pointing to a bung welded onto the fuel pump block-off plate for an oil line going back into the block. You can also see the wrapped coolant line from the radiator which...

Here's another shot of the engine bay. Headers back on, throttle and kick down cables installed, fuel rails, a/c compressor, etc. Check out the neat custom fender heat shields. Hate to see newly painted fenders covered, but I'd hate to smell the burned paint from the headers even more.

Ok, front suspension and brakes all reinstalled and ready to go.

To avoid future rust issues, inner fenders coated in truck bed liner before suspension reinstalled.

Brief delay on paint as June gloom in Southern California had humidity too high, but back at it. Color sanding...

K member notched, cleaned and painted, suspension pieces mounted, ready to attach the engine. Engine bay has been filled and sanded, now waiting for paint. We'll be lowering the car onto the k member, rather than dropping the engine from the top and risk gouging the new paint.

I also have a 408 small block with a turbo--a T70. Don't ask me how much this cost, because I bought it in 2007 or 2008.

Steve Strope has been working on my '71 Scamp for awhile and he just gave me rim dimensions needed for the rear wheels. I spent two weeks looking for 17x9", 5-spoke rims with 5.5" backspacing without success. Keeping in mind the "sleeper look" I'm going for, cop car steelies would look great...
