    .480/230 cam in an 8.5 CR 360?

Not the cam I'd use in a heavy B body with a 3:23 gear, but if I WAS gonna use it, I'd do like RustyRatRod suggested

UPDATE - Looks so good but ya can't shut the hood

I used a 70 one on my duster with a LD340 and a street demon carb, its the only air cleaner I had that would clear the hood.

    .480/230 cam in an 8.5 CR 360?

Intake center line. That's where the cam installs. The lobe separation is 109. If that was mine, I would install it down around 102, or even 100, which would be 9 degrees advanced. When Lunati gives an installed place, in this case 107, which is 2 degrees advanced, they aren't assuming someone...

Recommendation For Small Block Re-usable Valve Cover Gaskets?

Back in the 1970's with a solid lifter camshaft I checked/adjusted valve clearance on the .580 lift/312 duration Isky camshaft I had installed in my 273 bracket racer. I would like to find a similar valve cover gasket that I used back then that I glued to the valve cover and used over and over...

Can't Find My Oil Filter Wrenches Anywhere Today

Changed the oil for the first time in my wife's Jeep, warrantee finally ran out. Did not have a filter wrench to fit it, so a trip to the parts store. Owners manual said it took 4.5 qts, liars it took 5.5 so another trip to the parts store. She is happy, it cost her less than the dealership...

    Too Hot

That’s a good idea, I’ll check that. The air draw through the radiator should increase with higher engine temps (after it’s warmed up) and higher RPM, correct?

    .480/230 cam in an 8.5 CR 360?

I'd install that cam at least down to 103 ICL and might go as far as 100.

    Introducing Project "Scabra Tulitque"

Update: Now the coolant temperature gauge is working but takes a long time to make it over up to the normal operating range (like half an hour of driving). The fuel gauge came back up from empty to showing a quarter tank full. Don't know if either gauge is measuring things accurately or not.

    Have you ever lost

Maybe I'm jaded, working on other people's stuff, just leaves no time for my junk. But there is allways something cool in my shop. Like this all aluminum HEMI, will be a 528 cube pump gas street car deal. I guess I get more enjoyment now by doing cool stuff for other people.

Can't Find My Oil Filter Wrenches Anywhere Today

I don't even remember seeing the short filter back in the 1960's or 1970's. With the 90 degree adaptor, no need for a short filter anyway.
