Stop in for a cup of coffee

So, here is what I am dealing with with this Ford 3.5 EcoBoost timing setup. The biggest issue was getting it all apart. The valve covers were stuck and so was the front cover. Taking more time than I thought, but I think it always does. Just look at the timing chain setup on this 3.5. One large...

    360 Questions.. pardon my ignorance.

...combination of fuel-level and exposure underneath the throttles is what controls most of that. Let idle-timing be what it will be for now; whether 8* or TDC, just get rid of the Tip-in sag. Earlier I suggested a starting point of 6*, and Ima sticking to it. Good decision. I'm not sure...

Can't Find My Oil Filter Wrenches Anywhere Today

Nah! This one's a piece of cake to get to (zoomed-in interwebs pic below). Hardest part is remembering to set the brake pedal, and finding the special drain pan that fits between the front wheels and the mower deck underneath. Last time I bought Wix filters I had to buy the Chinesium ones (my...

70 dart deck lid emblem question

I have a painted 70 dart in my shop and I can't figure what emblem would have been on it. I'm not sure if the deck lid is from a 70 or not. I do see 2 holes for pins. See pics. Any ideas?

    [FOR SALE] Drum brake spindles

I think so. I know a lot changed in '73. These are stock 1974 spindles, for 10" drum brakes and 4" lug pattern (small bolt) wheels. (I also have the 10" backing plates for sale if you want those.) Here's a closeup of the stamp on one of them, in case it helps. It's a bit hard to make out...

What part of Sacramento are you at anyway, with an acre of property? I'm right here in Rancho Cordova, Commiefornia, next door to you, and this is the first that i ever have heard of this fire truck thing.

    After market parts

I have done a full restoration on my 1966 Dodge Dart GT. The quality and fitment of the the parts l bought including the weather seals leave something to be desired. The rubber seals for the glass especially the front windshield don’t fit like the factory did. The aftermarket windshield is a...

Anyone put fuel injection on a crossram manifold?

I would rather not cut up the original magnesium manifold. Not sure if putting dual FI systems in place of Hollies would work without doing alot of interior plumbing.

Putting up a shop in CA - fire department being a pain

If the fire department chose to buy a 70,000 pound fire truck partially with this man's tax money and then adopt all these requirements for compaction and load requirements they should pay for it. I have never heard of a fire department being able to dictate how a free private citizen supposedly...

Putting up a shop in CA - fire department being a pain

Don't know anything about this, nor have I ever dealt with this, but a firetruck puts out water, right? So where would the water go? All over the place, meaning your yard, the drive....and that would make everything pretty soft, I would imagine. Not taking sides, but this makes me think the...

I'd go with a heavy sway bar unless you're keeping it for dragstrip purposes. Definitely leaning in those curves. Love the car. Followed your build.
