Slowly getting my power draw nailed down. Got the dash out disconnected the amp gauge and bolted the 3 engine compartment wires together everything is good. Only a couple circuits left to check. Or it’s the amp meter itself.

I have a few other sets of heads, including a set of 2.02 J castings that measured 62+/- cc. So that would bump my CR, I just don't know if I need the bigger valves. Plan was to use them on another engine.

Question #1 Do you want to keep small bolt pattern or go to large bolt pattern? Question #2 why air shocks?

Where does the vacuum line go to vacuum or the hat for frp. Its a blow thru setup and I’m new to this. Got the btm 6 used and can’t seem to find info for the vacuum signal. I tried looking it up but get different answers. Thanks

The 413 had 8.5.1 compression with 452 heads and it ran 12.85 so it's not that bad.

I've got a set of them, but they need to be redone. Then either drilled, or buy a new manifold. As well as new pushrods, springs, and whatnot. Thought about it, but not for this motor.

I ran that cam in a .030" over 360 and my 413 straight up and it worked really well.

Guessing I was being a little girl - went out there & looked a lot closer with light under the hood while closing & doing the tin foil crush thing - hood latches without touching . Was afraid of bending the hood. Had to let you all know.

I'm far from an expert but I find that's generally caused by too high of an idle or timing too far advanced.

The carb doesn't appear to have adjustable air bleeds, and the power valve in it looks like a 56 or 65 depending on how you read the numbers. The 65 power valve is the replacement in the kit. Would i be better off with a different carb??
