    I have a drivers side '93 Manifold that I couldn't use because I have PS. I went with the 340HP on the drivers side and the '93 Magnum on the passenger. and yes the openings on the Magnums are 2 1/8" and the 340's are 2 1/4". I opened the Passenger side up a bit to come close to matching the 340.

    I don't believe reman long blocks come with exhaust manifolds, so you can't use that as evidence. IMO compression ratio should have been furnished by the reman company.     I ran a ported set on my car for years with a edelbrock performer & a weiand action plus manifold. Block the coolant passages as per post #4 and your good. I also ran coolant through the manifold for a while at the start but it eventually leaked and dropped some coolant in the oil. No leaks...

    Along those lines, with 230 horse with a stock cam, 2 barrel, and manifolds, building a 300 horse engine shouldn't be a big deal. You can build a 400 horse engine fairly easily as well. If you want. Or you can find a 360 or a Magnum and get there easier and probably cheaper.
