    64 Dart print ads

Found these on Ebay and opened them today. Finally got Dart home and is running and driving but needs a lot of love and will probably only get a gentle petting for starters. Guaranteed it will never look as good as the ads. I really like the white with red, blue would be cool also. Jeff

So how many guys went to Moparty in Bowling Green

We're very fortunate. We have 8 Dragstrips still in operation within 120 miles of Tuscaloosa, Al. 14 less than 200 miles from us. Back in the 90's their were more dragstrips in Alabama than any state in America except Texas

So how many guys went to Moparty in Bowling Green

Texas has a real limited number of drag strips, especially when you get South of Dallas. My closest "local" track is 175 miles away. It's like a racing dead zone down here.

how to tell if the distributor drive gear is installed correctly?

I will grab some photos, I did have the timing marks on the engine at 10 deg. before, marked where the point of the rotor was facing , and dropped the new dist. the same way. Did not have the cranking issue with the Pertronix unit, it did at least get the car to start, but just could not keep...

70 dart deck lid emblem question

Thanks for the replies. But I'm kinda stuck with the two holes on the lid. I'm figuring maybe the lid came from another year? Or something? Anyone have any suggestions? I didn't see any of the emblems that you guys told me about that has that stud pattern.

Changing crankshaft bearings with the engine in the car.

i mean, think about what they came in: trucks (mostly) and what gets abused more than work trucks? more likely to neglect OCI and maintenance? (*coughs* besides rental equipment *coughs*) the "flaking" of cam bearings has also been (loosely) linked to the acid/acid by products in modern motor...

how to tell if the distributor drive gear is installed correctly?

So what he is saying is that on some Distributors the Rotor may not point straight ahead like it is "supposed to." The illustration in post #5 is where the Drive Gear should point. The Rotor should point straight ahead toward the front of the car. The Distributor is technically not correct if it...
