    ~450hp from stock stroke 340?

Hey all, I’m starting my 340 build and I’m looking to get around 450 hp or possibly even more out of my stock stroke 340. This is mainly a street build so drivability is a must. Stock bottom end 72 340 (Keith black pistons), trick flow heads (Specs for them), 1.6 harland sharp roller rockers...

    Harmonic balancer clarification

72 and up 340's were externally balanced so the damper looks similar to a 360 damper. All 360 were externally balanced. 65

Need advice on my Holley DP 650

So I am going back to basics on tuning my carb and I am not claiming to be experienced on it at all. So your advice is needed and appreciated. Initially I checked float height and it was fine on both primary and secondary. Recently I checked again since I think that is the starting place. The...

Changing crankshaft bearings with the engine in the car.

Those look just like the cam bearings in the Hemi Charger Dad gave me (back in 1983) after he dropped a valve and drove it for five miles, embedding the valve head in the piston and knocking a hole in the head. Cam was fine. So were the crank and rods. Don't know if the condition of the cam...

    73 340 duster thermoquad spacer ?

Mine worked great on the street, almost like fuel injection. But I did play with it quite a bit to get it almost perfect. I was lucky to have one on the 71 Duster and I knew not to let it go with the car. Actually, I still have the 340 also.
