Wow what a rebuild..................... Hope everything comes together for you. I am hoping someone on here can direct you to a re-pop wiring harness or the likes. I hate it when some clown with a pair of wire dikes thinks he knows more than the factory did. Bummer ..... It all looks good to me...

Intermittent slow crank when coil wire is plugged in to the dist

If you are running so much Idle-advance as to affect the cranking, my guess is that the Transfer slots are gonna be nearly closed too, just so it will idle slow enough. That's also gonna lead to long crank times as the engine struggles to get fuel, and whatever it does get, if it ain't burning...

4 Headlights or 2 Headlights; opinions needed.

Yes it is. I've had a few cars that I've deleted front signals from. Heck, pre-1955 they weren't even required equipment. But I don't particularly consider what the government wants when I put a custom car together. But again, they can just be mounted behind the grille so the light is still...

Pull the plug off the switch, stick a jumper wire into the plug terminals. Turn on the key, you should have reverse lights. If you do it's a switch issue, if you don't it's wiring.

    Camshaft for 273

I don't know about all of that, but I can assure you from having several 273 4 speed early Barracudas that the Mopar engineers hit a home run with the drivability performance of a commando camshaft. They basically already did for a 273 2bbl what you are wanting to do now. No need to reinvent the...

    Camshaft for 273

...This will depend an awful lot on the cam, the compression ratio, and the ignition timing. If you have to retard the ignition timing like I do, to 5*, then the entire bottom end will be weak. That's quite a lot to have to think about. BTW-1 for your application, I find no fault with your...

Another gauge corrector--cheaper than MeterMatch, 33.00

I've been running the Autometer one for a couple of years now. Seems to be better, but far from as good as I hoped. Sometimes it just seems wonky. Drove into town last weekend and was showing a 1/4 tank. Didn't seem to move all the way in (30 miles) and was fine when I started back. But...

sweet...it doesn't get much simpler than that. On or off end of story. If you have power to one terminal blade you are home. When the switch becomes true that voltage will cross the closed switch to travel to do the work of lighting the bulb. If that switch closes and power is present on the aft...

Another gauge corrector--cheaper than MeterMatch, 33.00

Interesting idea. Biggest flaw I can see is that you are assuming how much gas you have in the tank and having to remember how much you put in last time. It could bite you in the end if things get out of whack and you think you have 13 gallons of range but you only have 10. At the same time...

What Tire sizes are best for my 1969 Barracuda Fastback?

A little late, but I thought I'd throw this up here for what it's worth. You can get a general idea on a tires dimensions by going to any one of several sites on the internet including the tire stores. The sad truth is that while the dimensions are close they are not exact and can vary in...

69 Cuda ignition switch install question

    New Build Startup Issue

Your Disturber housing seems to be correct, so I would say the drive gear is set in wrong. Move your cap wires two notches CW and that should give you your #1 firing position. if everything else is correct. Timing gear and chain is in the right position?

    6.1 or 6.4?

It depends some on your application. Isn't the Dart a racecar? If so, do you plan to race the truck or just drive it? Personally I think the 6.4 with VVT and SRV is the better all around option. More bottom end without losing top end. But...they have weaker pistons and should be swapped if...
