    Cam Phasing

That's not really how it works.... Modern engines, my foot. (other than that, DemonX2 is 100% right). The key was never designed to carry load, ever. The sprocket bolt that clamps the cam sprocket to the cam is what makes the spinny-magic happen. The clamp load from sprocket to cam is what...

    Redwood Rally 2024

Finally getting myself squared away after my first drag and drive and realized I don't really have any way to contact the people I met out there this year. So this is a call to all the A body folks who were on Redwood Rally this year, maybe it's best to post what car you were driving, and your...

That fork-lift attachment is pretty neat, will it go down clear to the ground? I use the crap out of my tractor for lifting stuff with the bucket on the front.

Well my son is bottom bulbing it this weekend

Still using his transbrake but no delay boxes allowed at this race. He only bottom bulb races a couple times a year now. Car number is 3x97 and 3x9 for the weekend. One time trial under each number and 1st round wins.

We dodged it over in the west panhandle also. The Air Force flew all the planes out on Wednesday in an abundance of caution. I saw on the news where a Tesla was under water. Salt water and batteries don't mix well. Prayers for those dealing with the aftermath.

For me everything just seems muffled. Turning up the volume doesn't really help. Got that dang ringing too. I blame not using the hearing protection when using the air blowing gun.

Saw video. We're it mine. I'd take the black solenoid apart, and see why the contact that jumps elec across those 2 big wire contacts isn't jumping. It's usually a big copper washer, sometimes the contact areas just "wear" away, or whatever secures the washer to plunger fails. Often, washer can...

My insurance gave me the finger, compensation board told me it was my own fault and gave me the finger. So I scrounged what I could borrowed the rest 1 1/2 years paid off. Upkeep is minimal, next big cost in 5 years is new battery around $500. But saving up for that day.

How long will cheap oil transfer pump survive pumping water?

Thanks for the thoughts. Great idea about a bilge pump. Unfortunately no one local has one in stock. Yes, I did think about just replenishing as it loses but I was concerned about introducing cold water into the system with the engine hot. I hadn't considered the pump losing prime, but yes, my...

My first set of hearing aids was 3 grand from the hearing specialist and lost one and it would have been 5 grand to replace and upgrade them. I can't afford it I don't have insurance that will cover the cost. In the States you don't need a prescription anymore and so bought a set by mail and...

what are you using for headers in your hemi A body?

Yea, but how much are custom hand built headers. And you have to transport your car to that person. Not a guy for that on every street corner.

How long will cheap oil transfer pump survive pumping water?

So your plan is to switch the pump on and off as the catch bucket fills to a certain level, and not have the pump run constantly? Water acts as a lubricant, though obviously much less effective than oil. The pump could very well live two hours not running constantly. I haven't seen it in...

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

IN the meanwhile, I do have other things going on;) During our last hurricane Beryle~ knocked down 140' of our picket fence and we get to replace it as fence companies want like 10k to replace, so we're going to do it ourselves. I bought this "Forklift" attachment for our 1976 Ford Tractor(was...

The bottom cyl on my ski boat occasionally got water when moored stern too the waves. Is that possible, maybe try taking spark plugs out, should spin free then. idk.

Curious front end issue. Ideas wanted

Yes, first after loosening everything and sitting on blocks, measure and. adjust ride height. I'd disconnect sway bar on one side to verify it isn't pre-loaded which can affect height. I always loosen the lower control arm nuts before adjusting ride height.

If you find a good hearing specialist that will take the time with proper hearing tests and you are completely honest with yourself when taking those tests. Talking to myself also. They can and will tailor your aids to fit your needs. It’s been 3 years now for me and I’m noticing my hearing is...
