Ok here's the update. I've jetted up to size 71 jets and now it seems I'm running right. But my temp is still a little over 190. Again i have a 160'thermostat in it now and a semi new water pump that's producing good flow. I'm not too sure if the timing is correct though. Does anyone know...

Wouldn't a 180' thermostat make it run hotter in 100 degree weather?

Well it used to run 190 in 110 degree weather but now its only 90s and its running 190+. Back in may when it was high 70s it was running 170+. Maybe Im just overreacting but this is my first mopar and I want to make sure it lasts me a long time. Lately my truck reminds me of Christine...

I'm not leaking any coolant and I don't have the equipment to remove the engine. I do have a confession though. ... My 318 is in a 56 ford f100 pickup. With that said, maybe it wouldn't hurt to remove a plug and check for debris?

Ok so I put the 69 size jets in and it's running a little over 190. So I'll give this a few days and see how it goes. Thanks guys!

Damn Mr. Gasket thermostat! NEVER OPENED AGAIN! Goin back to autozone cheap kind...at least those open. But i'm also putting in a hi flow water pump tomorrow. I also did a vinegar system flush. I'll Keep u posted.

Well after running around Vegas looking for a Mr. Gasket hi flow 160 thermostat... Ill have to get it from Summit... stupid Vegas. So Ill let you guys know what the result is once I get it. Thanks guys!

Any suggestions on the size of the water pump pulley? I read on another post that a smaller pulley = more flow... but I cant find a smaller pulley.

Hi guys... Im actually running about 70/30 coolant and it actually used to run at 190 without a shroud not too long ago. I was also thinking it could be the pulleys. I have a non-ac water pump but by the looks of it I have a ac pulley... Here is my setup and the images of the pulley.

oh as far as timing.. i recently changed the belts.. Could that be the cause?
