Dodge Dart Seneca for sale NOT MINE

This is the first year of the Dart model, and one of Chryslers wildest and most.futuristic dashes ever Interesting that this one has the cone shaped turn signal wand. Usually only the Phoenix model got that. Beautiful cars but I like the Matador and Polaras even better because they have larger...

    273 Commando - UTG

The only Uncle Tony video i watched was the one where he was talking about A.body rear ends. It surprised me because he is the only person I've ever heard saying anything positive about the 7 1/4" rear end. He called it a "downsized Dana60" and said "in a car less than 3300lbs and 300hp these...

4 Headlights or 2 Headlights; opinions needed.

I've always wondered if anyone has ever taken a 1970 fromt.end and put it on a 67-69 body. I never cared for the slanted rear end on the 70-1972 cars

4 Headlights or 2 Headlights; opinions needed.

My vote goes for the factory 2 headlight setup. Four headlights throws off the clean look and visual balance of the front end on this car. Generally speaking Chrysler knew best and their cars look their finest as they left the factory. There are exceptions like the "beak era" cars where you...

Need a quality rebuild kit for my Thermoquad ....

Exactly! Ethanol is also hygroscopic, undergoes phase separation...there's nothing good about it at all for drivers. I suppose we should be thankful the tyrants still let us drive these cars anymore....I feel sorry for those who collect 1976 and later cars out here. Anything 1976 and later still...

Need a quality rebuild kit for my Thermoquad ....

Yep,this is a big problem in California. The ethanol does a number on traditional rubber diaphragms in fuel pumps, rubber fuel lines,as well as carb kits. Ethanol fuel also causes less efficient combustion which results in reduced mileage....but it's "green". Lol.

    1968 Dodge Dart Driveshaft

Man! That sounds like an expensive headache. this is exactly why I'd rather pay to buy the correct factory original driveshaft that Chrysler made to fit the car then play around measuring things and trusting a shop to cut my 7 1/4" driveshaft to the correct length and for it to work after. It's...

    1968 Dodge Dart Driveshaft

Bingo. That's what I was assuming when I saw the numbers but wasn't sure. But if you look at the book again the 51.53" measurements are also A833 transmissions. The a904 only has one ujoint size listed 2760 and shows the same number as before 52.25."

Maybe the difference is U joints? What does 7260 and 7290 mean?

    1968 Dodge Dart Driveshaft

Thanks for sharing your parts book with us As far as I know nothing changed. Four or 5 other members contacted me saying 52" was correct, and in many old threads others had said 52" as well. I've also had a couple folks in my wanted to buy post for the driveshaft say and show with photos that...

    7 1/4" to 8 3/4" rear end swap advice

A 318/904/7 1/4" uses the same 3" diameter 52.58" driveshaft that the 8 3/4" uses? How can that be? The 7 1/4 rear is smaller and uses an even longer driveshaft that is 54.61" long. (Again, these numbers are for the Dart and from the 67 parts catalog Dana67Dart posted.

Yes,it's definetly not the fault of the moderators. People just don't seem to read what people post and do what they want. It's happened so far everytime I've posted a wanted ad here. Human nature I guess.

    7 1/4" to 8 3/4" rear end swap advice

Hi,My car came from the factory with 10" brakes. The rear has the line and vent down on the drivers side axle tube (70 style). It came with u bolts and the shock plates. Will I need the c body rubber line for this style? The rear did not come with leaf springs but mine are still in my car,along...

    7 1/4" to 8 3/4" rear end swap advice

When I showed up to pick it up I saw that. Seems sellers always leave something out of the description. Part of the metal fork where the bolt goes through split a little bit so the guy ran a longer bolt through it with a nut behind. He was driving it that way. Yeah, wasnt happy about that...

Thanks Al,glad to get advice from someone who just did it and knows what's involved. As I said in my first post,I don't plan on messing around with cutting my driveshaft. I'll try and find one that's the correct length to work. I do have the correct shock plates. They came with the rear end. I...

Thanks, my car has the 10" brakes, but I also have factory front disc setup from another car I could swap into the front if I want too. Just curious but what would be the happen if someone put an 8 3/4" in their car with 9" front drums? Others here have done it in threads I've seen and nothing...

Hi,I finally found a factory 8 3/4" A body rear end. Complete drum to drum for my 1968 dart 270. I Iwill be swapping out the bad 7 1/4 factory rear and thought I'd ask for any tips or advice from those who have done the swap before. It sounds pretty straightforward and should bolt in easily. Question about 1968 Dart shoulder belts

Cool. So it would appear I could add shoulder belts to mine then sometime in the future. I figured Chrysler would have just had the mounting holes on all the roofs in case someone ordered them and for when the mandate took effecf.
