Curious front end issue. Ideas wanted

certainly appreciated, I don't remember any instructions with the struts but I think the proprietor was very approachable. Kinda wish they still did individual suspension parts. Im kinda partial to the old Mopar front end and spring config. Additionally, YouTube is full of folks doing front...

    14" Disk brakes

I have a 72 Dart 318 with 4 wheel manual drum brakes on 14" wheels. I want to convert to disk brakes. I would like to replace front and back and add vacuum booster. Everything I've found says I have to convert to 15" wheels. Is there a disk brake replacement for 14" wheels anywhere out there?

Less than 12V on VR Input w/pics

I suspect Dana's point was that there should be no voltage drop with the key on or off unless something besides the ignition and field are drawing power. Voltage drop only occurs when current meets resistance. Key on with a normal ignition and field should draw no more than 5 amps. The...

[SOLD] Eagle H Beam Connecting Rods for SB

They are offshore sourced like all after market rods these days. The bearing bore and pin bore measured good. They weigh 705 grams. I ran about 30 1/8 mile passed on them. They were just a bit too heavy to balance my crank without using Mallory metal.

Yup. Some days suck harder than others but you can't quit. I can't quit anyway. If I just sit around I'll lose my mind (what's left of it) and my body will lock up. I'd rather be dead than live like that.

A permanent solution to your ratty defroster hoses.

Hi All: I just posted the latest chapter to my component restoration series under the title "Bob's Component Resto, Chapter 37: The Defroster Hoses". You can find it under "Member Restorations" in the forums section. I've come up with an affordable solution to replacing those old rotten factory...

    Pushrod measurements 440

I like to generally see 1 to 1 1/2 thread below the rocker. All the adjusters I use have a recessed area in the adjuster and that needs to line up with the oiling in rockers, If the pushrod is too long or short the rockers can't oil and that will burn up the top end in short order!

More good news for the ford guys

It just so happens that the GM 6.0L LS2 was a stout engine that had a higher ratio of exhaust flow. It really helped that engine breathe and gave increased flexibility on cam design.
