Had a miss hap in the shop and this piston was the casualty. I’m a newer engine builder and I’m out of time and cash. Might be a stupid question but can I run this how it is, or is it a paperweight?
So I finally had a chance to get back in the garage and I can’t find any numbers identifying the individual pistons. However 4 are marked with a spade, club, heart, diamond. And the other 3 have a bell, octagon, puzzle piece. And 1 has nothing
Hey y’all, hoping I can get some help with installing my stock pistons, I had them organized by cylinder but during a recent deployment my brother in laws helped my wife move houses and the pistons got mixed up. I know the dimples face the front of the engine but not all the dimples are the same...
What do y’all think about these, and would it make sense to upgrade the fuel pump?

Thank you I just started on here! I really appreciate all the help and advice. Later down the line I’d like to swap in a manual trans, the auto just doesn’t do it for me
Okay awesome that all sounds great and makes air of sense. I have no experience in gearing, so once I get the motor done that’ll probably be the next step right?
So as of right now I’m looking at getting the quick fuel 750dp, 6 pack pistons, the magnum muscle 222/226 hydraulic flat cam, and getting my 452 heads checked by a machinist and if it needs all sort of repairs opt for the aluminum after market and also get those machined
I’d like it to run on pump gas so I can take my wife out on town but I’d also like to blow past my buddies and their dumb rice rockets. Something with some kick if that makes sense
If you don’t mind me picking your brain some more, what would you recommend for pistons and would you agree with what the others said about prepping my 452 heads?
