LA aluminium heads on 5.9 magnum

I did exactly what you are talking about doing. 5.9 Magnum bottom end with Speedmaster LA heads. I made videos detailing what I did. Check them out if you are interested. Cley

Modify a Magnum for LA rocker gear oiling ?

The comp rockers I used work like you say the PRW ones do. Basically oil flows from the push rod tip to the rest of the rocker arm when used on a Magnum, instead of from the shaft, through the rocker arm to the push rod top when used on an LA. CLEY

Modify a Magnum for LA rocker gear oiling ?

Have you experienced some that won't? Just curious for information sake. Cley

Modify a Magnum for LA rocker gear oiling ?

Agreed! But most if not all aftermarket rockers will work with the correct length push rod! Cley

Modify a Magnum for LA rocker gear oiling ?

Seems like slot of work for no benefit other than that you could use stock rockers. Cley

    A Body Lost Trunk Key

100% agree with this! I lost my trunk key, and coincidentally the key from 1 of rhe 3 spare trunk locks I had was the correct key. If you have any Mopar buddies, have them aĺ come over with their trunk keys. It's worth a shot. Not too many different ones were used. Cley

Modify a Magnum for LA rocker gear oiling ?

It's much easier to use stock Magnum lifters and hollow push rods with comp roller tip rockers. That's what I did with aluminum LA heads on a stock Magnum short block. Cley

Chrysler 300 seats in a Duster

I am sure you can find some for a good price. They are common and were available for several years. Charger, Challenger & 300 should all work. Cley

Chrysler 300 seats in a Duster

If you're a long legged 6'3" you'll be fine. The additional room I found was in the seat adjusters themselves. I have about the same head room as in my 2010 Ram truck. Cley

    Aftermarket fuel gauge

If it shows full-over full pinned out, that should be an open circuit. Check the ground to the sending unit first. It should be appropriate 10 ohms full and 73 ohms empty. Cley

Drop base for a 750 dual feed double pumper

I use this on my Duster. It was the most drop without hitting linkage. I have a tall intake with a 1" spacer below a 750 Quickfuel Double Pumper and it works for me. Cley K&N 85-3545 K&N Air Filter Bases | Summit Racing

1974 Plymouth Duster Electrical Problems when hot

Honestly, check your grounds. Everything else might be OK. Grounds are cheap to fix and you need them anyway. Start there. Cley

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

If you are considering gauges, if possible, buy good Autometer gauges. I was fooled into thinking I had a low oil pressure problem by a cheap gauge. I am a cheap guy, but I learned my lesson about cheap gauges. They will read fine in the middle of range, but especially at the low end of range...

    Aftermarket fuel gauge

I hooked mine up to the original sending unit wire. I cut it iff the plug at the back of the dash, but you could intercept it at the kick panel too. Cley

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

I'm thinking you will have to center the shroud to the fan. It's location on the rad will be determined by that. How wide is that rad? Cley

I need to improve my 60' time.

And as far as a converter goes, that's probably next year territory. I would like to retain my lock up functionality with the right amount of stall for my combo. That may or may not be possible. I have been told it is, but I have also been told it isn't. I'll start looking soon. Cley

I need to improve my 60' time.

I understand the slicks idea, but I really want to stay with drag radials. I love to be able to drive to and from the track. When these are done, I will not get Nittos again. I had Mickey ET Street before and will likely go back to them. But I will consider anything else when the time comes. Cley
