Valve lashing / adjustment done. Actually very easy to do while it is running. Valve cover was a ***** to get off only because of all the fuel lines, vacuum lines, etc..... cleaning all that up is a project for another day. After doing it I would rather do the adjustments hot and running...

I am thinking about only leaving my badges on as well. I want to find faded/ugly/cheap dart swinger badges and clean them up. Paint the black so they stand out on the white fender.

When I get to the project of moldings I will probably shave what I can. Grind down studs and blend what I can.

Nobody will probably be able to give you a direct answer. Not the answer you want, trust me I know. You will get lots of ideas about where to start, but your going to have to put the work in. From experience......and it started with my aftermarket gauges as well....... get your volt meter out...

I didnt think about the tabs. Somebody ground the tabs down around the rear window so that i have to fix. The car was repainted and corners were cut as i get deeper into the car. If i decided to replace tabs i would probably try the screw on the aftermarket type.

I bought a 72 swinger and I am missing left and right trim pieces of the trunk (quarter molding), and the L/R fender hood molding. I am not a guy that is hard on maintaining stock. I am trying to decide whether or not to complete the sets to make them whole because they are already there, OR...

Thanks - I had so many problems with grounds and general wiring - much cleaner now than when i found it! GPS gauge is nice to have. Now to replace the turn signal switch i think i broke while installing the dash....

I absolutely agree. However it looks hard wired to a relay or resister of some kind. I will look through the manual.

I've found white, cream and even gold in multiple places on the quarter panels. I've wandered if the fender tag has been replaced but I dont know. The door panel metal is painted black where it is usually body color and I have seen what appears to be black over spray in a few hidden corners...
