    14" Disk brakes

SSBC has a kit that uses your 10 inch drum brake spindles - makes the swap a LOT easier. Uses KH 4 pot calipers used on later cars. Mine came with stud locations for both big and small bolt patterns and the needed studs, so you can change them easily with future changes.

I forgot to mention I'm going to be running a full width explorer 8.8 rear which is 59.5 WMS. Will likely be doing the 1/2" inset as well. I'd ideally like to use exactly the same offset front and rear so I can rotate them/use the same spare. Tire options seem pretty good for the 295/30R18...

    New setup- 340 based 416, 360 based 387, or 360 based 408?

I’d do a 4” build and sell the 3.79” crank. Another bonus of 2.100” or 2.000” rod journals is bearing selection in addition to a better selection of rods.

    Holley electric choke.

Kinda thought so. Thanks for your input. Wasn't sure about the choke heater, especially with an Edelbrock Aluminum manifold with no heat crossover. Will likely still wire it with the 3 prong oil pressure sending unit so no current is supplied prior to engine start up. Thank you again for your help.

Self-centering (or lack thereof) in park and camber / caster / toe settings

Let's say that you've just completely replaced the front end (in my case the front stub) and rebuilt everything, new bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. You've bolted all these nice new or cleaned up parts to the frame. Reinstalled the previously-correctly-working steering gear...

Just got this 1966 Dart GT

It’s sitting to low for my liking. I’m going to crank up the torsion bars a little and see what the rear springs look like. It has traction bars on it that really limit tire size. So I’m removing them and maybe swapping in some super stock 002 003 springs I have stashed away.

"Idiot light" vs. Oil Pressure Gauge

YES both the light and a mechanical gauge UNDER THE DASH NOT UNDER THE HOOD. By the time the light goes on much of the damage is done. Changes in pressure as things START to go wrong can be seen as changes in typical gauge readings. Fluctuation in the needle can indicate low oil levels after...

    Anyone know anything about Subarus?

My sister and brother in law both work for Subaru. So most of the family drives them (except me) Expensive to fix, run good when they run, the Foresters seem to have a longevity issue, my sister had one blow the engine just over 150k, my moms went at 100k and my brother blew his engine up at...

    Anyone know anything about Subarus?

They suggest you use your intake w/ injectors, stuff like that. You can do simple tuneup, preventative maintenance, but pretty serviceable as is. I have had the local JDM distributor do a swap, and I have done my own. The engines are pulled with the accessories - typically alternator, p/s...
