Last little floor patch is done and the roll cage is painted. After vacation we are ready to paint.

Just a couple of small patches on the front floor and all metal work is done.

Underneath the trunk is sprayed with bedliner and we used the tintable bedliner for the inside of the trunk. I already started assembling the rear suspension and the 8 3/4 is on the floor read to be put in. I'm gathering all the fuel tank stuff to get that mounted also.

I forgot to mention that it's a street car.

Getting ready to install the 8 3/4 rear end. What are you using for shocks? My specs are 69 Dart GT, 440/727 3.23 SG with SS leaf springs. Mini tubbed. Mostly street driving with the occasional trip down the track.

What are the issues? I'm unaware of this? And if so, what the mechanical equivalent?

It's the factory 69 Dodge red. Don't know the code offhand.

I've welded up the K-frame and LCAs. All suspension parts are cleaned and painted. New urethane boots to go on. Also repaired, blasted and painted oil pan, intake, water pump housing and other parts. I'll get pics later.

We've been taking a break on the Dart. Summertime equals car shows and vacations. Still got some things done. Engine bay is finally painted.

Just saw this thread. My Dart with a 440 has a Weiand 7512. I bought the car around 2001 and it's getting a full resto now.

Which bearing is better? Timken or National?

I've been searching and all I want is the front inner rotor bearings and seals for sbp KH discs for my 69 Dart resto. (Yup we're still at it almost 4 years later). Outers are fine. The inners and seals got a little damaged when I used a puller to get them off. Thanks for any help.

I hang out with a lot of car guys (and bike guys I might add). We do a lot of cruises and such.

The battery is on the passenger side of the trunk. I didn't use any relay. I may add a shut-off switch.

On my Dart resto, the battery is relocated in the trunk. I have the good thick gauge cable and will be buying a new hold down kit for a neater look. I am looking at Optima batteries. It looks like the yellow series is the better one. It's a 440 with 11.5 compression, electric fan and electronic...

Tin Cup is on to the front now. Filling in some holes, repairing dings and patching the holes from fenderwell headers.

So it looks like I can get the adaptor for the Dodge Diplomat MC. My next question is: my Dart came with factory manual drums all around. I did the manual KH front disc conversion using a factory disc brake proportioning valve. Do I still use the factory prop valve and MC push rod?

It looks like the Raybestos and the Dr Diff are the same except for price. Am I able to get just the 4 to 2 bolt adaptor and longer rod separately? The Raybestos is a lot cheaper and looks readily available at any parts store.

As we are getting closer to my full resto 69 Dart I would like to know what year Dakota master cylinder to use. It's manual disc/drum conversion. Being a 440 with aluminum finned valve covers the factory master cylinder just touches them. I want more clearance rather than grinding down a vintage...
