What chemical(s) did you use to soften/remove the undercoat? It's a royal pain doing it laying on a creeper. Thanks Tom

    Weird aftermarket stereo problem

i think that is the way of cheap Chinese stereos. Some don’t last long. Just luck if you get a good or bad one. I have had a similar experience with computer monitors. The cheap ones last a year or two. The name brands last forever.

Thanks for that info ! I think the place should be fine. I gave my neighbor my # to call if anything bad happened . So I guess it's all fine. Wish I would have taken his # .

Thrust issues with AFR gauge and Brawler carb

I quoted this post again so I don’t have to keep going up and looking at it on my phone. The 70 idle air bleed may be fine depending on what size your idle feed jet it, or restriction as that is used interchangeably. IMO that MAB is way too big. IMO .026 is a better starting point. What...

    MANUAL STEERING FOR DAILY DRIVER

How do you determine what the ratio is? Is it printed on the box? Mine takes so many turns I was thinking about adding a suicide ball to the steering wheel.

Hi Al. Those friends in the club that live a block or 2 from you said they did not lose power and all was fine there. These results are one of the reasons you moved here!! I could do a drive-by of your house if you'd like so just let me know in a PM.

Thrust issues with AFR gauge and Brawler carb

You might not see it at 10 samples a second or it may not be as clear. I sample at 50 times a second and I want to try 100 but that may just get too muddy to use. I’ll go back and look at the sizes you have verified and see. Also, I can’t emphasize how important for idle quality that you put...

Has anyone used a wheel spacer to fill in the rear wells on a Duster?

OP asked for a slant 6 Duster. 15X8 and 275-60R15 are big and heavy wheels/tires combos for the slant 6 power. I opted for 1" adapters (SBP --> BBP), and small wheels (14X6 with 225-60R14 tires) Wheel wells are filled now. Handling is perfect and my slant 6 thanks me everyday :)

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Ran into a situation where I couldn't find it in the store. A buddy found some and showed up with 24 bottles! I'm stocked up for a while.. now if I could just find a consistent source for decent bourbon..

Putting up a shop in CA - fire department being a pain

The house behind us (only about 20' away) caught fire in June from electrical wiring to the HVAC. The house had a steel roof installed over the original wood shingles. The steel caused issues for the fire fighters as they were not familiar with it or how to peel it off.

I dont have pin gauges yet or measured the empty emulsion holes. Air bleeds were marked with numbers but IFR jets and "powervalve jets" were not. Maximizing flow limited combos?

Why not just send out the heads to someone with a CNC program. Which are they? Seems like you have the budget to say change other pieces of the puzzle. Why not port and have the heads checked out. Or is this together already and you don’t want to pull the heads. Just read it is not together. I...
