What would you build if limited to 372ci - with boost as an option

Lol and the cost goes up an order of magnitude at least. And that’s before you make a pass. It goes up from there.

? I'm taking 361 B engine stock stroke, if he went custom piston sure he could add longer rods if he wished, what rpms is the OP going for ? Imagine it ain't crazy high since it's a budget build.

What would cause engine to jam while cranking??

Retard the timing and it will probably start.

What would you build if limited to 372ci - with boost as an option

I would build a 372 kyobb motor at 6.5:1 and sling a 6-71 on top over driven 15% or more with an old style Hilborn FI and run it on methanol or nitro.

Self-centering (or lack thereof) in park and camber / caster / toe settings

The valve probably just got bumped a little when the box was removed. That's just about the only thing it can be. It ain't rocket science. Just adjust it. That'll fix it.

There’s one similar in my town with a rowdy 383 SBC. Mini-tubbed. Runs 11.50’s or better on slicks.

What would you build if limited to 372ci - with boost as an option

Why would you not look at doing a R5 motor send the crank out have it restroked 4.185 bore A P7 heads will out flow a max wedge head any day of the wk Larry Smith just did a set for me before he past away and they go over 425cfm with a 2.20 valve theses motors can still be brought right if you...

What would you build if limited to 372ci - with boost as an option

Where would that put the pin in the piston? You have a very long pin height and a long piston. Even if you used a Line2Line coating you’d still have compromised ring seal. Higher rpm would only make it worse.

What would you build if limited to 372ci - with boost as an option

True but the R/S ratio is still too high. I was giving examples of how I’d build it. And that’s the math that comes out. Which BTW is pretty close to the deck heights in Pro Stock. IIRC they are in the 9.200 range with about a 3.6xx stroke.

[WANTED] Two LBP Rallye Wheels - 15"x6" (or 6.5") with 4.5" Bolt Pattern

I am looking for two 15x6 or 15x6.5 rallye wheels for a Swinger project. I am in Fairfield, CA. The wheels do not have to be date coded or in show quality condition for this car. I cannot use 15x7 or larger on this project. I am hoping someone has a couple.

What would you build if limited to 372ci - with boost as an option

Exactly what I was thinking cheap, got a decent bore to stroke ratio should be able to spin it fairly high if needed to, lots of high flowing head options, even port out stocker can get you pretty far, probable custom pistons the only main negative. 371.95 cid 4.185 x 3.38

Thrust issues with AFR gauge and Brawler carb

P THANK YOU for posting that graph. One look at it and I’d have told you that you have too much emulsion. That’s what it looks like when they start slugging. Even at 4-8 samples you can clearly see it. Keep logging stuff. It won’t be long and you’ll be a real good carb tuner. You can...

What would you build if limited to 372ci - with boost as an option

Those are all unavailable options though. There is another rod length that is a tad shorter which would make more p/v and since he wants boost that might make it better. I'm not sure if a turbo cam would need to have that much duration
