    Parts wanted, 360 exhaust manifolds

    ...toward the manifold for ease of installation. I read the early 70's 360 were the best choice. This car is a driver, ac, power steering overdrive automatic. Headers are on backorder right now but I haven't found any manifolds yet. So, anyone know a good source for exhaust manifolds? Thanks

    Why Carb and non OD a Gen 3?

    I have always been curious about doing a gen 3 swap but I feel majority I see ditch the factory injection for a carb or throttle body and slap in a 727? Isn’t the whole point of swapping to a newer gen setup to have easier to tune fuel injection and an overdrive transmission?

    ...a street car, it doesn't need a hotrod340, nor a 5speed. It would be fine with a 318-4speed, and proper street gears or a 360, 3+1 A833-overdrive, and any street gear. But , I guess if the 340/5speed drops in your lap for cheap .......... I mean I would build a car around that combo...

    Turn of the overdrive and see if the problem goes away. It will suck for MPG but might make it drivable until you figure it out or get those headlights fixed in the other car.

    Where did you find those pulleys? Do you have a photo of those setups? Are they single groove? I haven't been able to find any single v-groove pairs that overdrive the w/p. I could be wrong, but I think the only overdriven sets from the factory all had a ton of grooves on the crank pulley.

    I do not have an OD, I run an A833 with a 3.09:1 first gear and 1:1 4th. This allows the use of a 3.23 gear without losing a bunch of 1st gear multiplication. 3.55's are also fun with this setup. A Gear Vendors, or Passon Hemi OD look appealing to me as I don't want to cut up a factory 340 car.
