Even a stock 340 will see benefits from a full 3" exhaust with 3" constant diameter mufflers. That is, AS LONG AS the collector diameter is at least 3". If you're running 340 manifolds, then 2.5 is about as big as you can go.

They don't cost much, I would buy another one. I have seen these for $100.00 or so. Sometime less. It looks like a 70' intake. Any 340 intake will do but this one, I would toss. They are not that difficult to come by, for around $100.00, more or less.

I've never installed tri-y headers so no experience there. Every time I've installed headers it has always, always made a significant improvement.
