Interesting. The set with both collars, I got from a 64 valiant in a yard. The mixed set was from a 73 duster. Who knows what happened over the life of both cars though.

You can measure the backspace for the correct wheel width. Just goole " wheel backspace. " I use a 14x6 205-70-14 and they fit perfect. They are on the factory steelies. You might have to pick up a newer style 15" wheel today. The measurement and a wheel company like Crager can help you.

If it isn't pinging, try a few degrees more of ignition timing advance. Sounds like a timing issue.
