Hi, I read the blocks had a higher nickel content. Also the bores were cast oval , with more material in the thrust areas.. I had my x block bored to 4.0" .
I ran one for a couple of years, the timing was very stable. The issue I have with the mopar performance tensioner is that the material is soft, the tensioner had a wear area where the cam is contacting it. The original cam plates are hardened and ground flat, these ones are not.
The first motor i buillt was a 1967 273. It had issues with over heating.I finally took the original cast water pump off and found the impellar had broken apart in peices. The weird thing about the impellar was that it was made of some sort of plastic. I took the original pump to a shop and they...
take this pump off, and start over. First of all, it is mounted upside down. It should be mounted close to and below the fuel tank. Lookes like you have a kink in the line and you may need a regulator.
Im using hoosier dot quick time pro,26x9.5-14Lt, 8" tread. They work great. Best 60' so far 1.59, street car full interior. I had a set of bf goodrich 235/60/14 drag radials and wasn't impressed.

RDJ, before stroker cranks were readally available ,I built a 340 stroker many years ago using a 273 steel crank. The stroker cranks that were available back then were very expensive.I sent my 273 crank to Lunati and they welded the rod bearing journals ,then offset ground the journals to...
67 GT, hows it going, heres a few pictures , i don't have a picture of the interior with my digital camera yet. The interior is actually white. Do you have a 67, do you have any pics?
No problem, they are part # HOO-17411 26X9.5-14LT , 8.0 tread width. I ordered them thru a speed shop in Ontario Canada, but Summit sells them as well. There was a lot of interest in these tires last time out at the track.
Great site. I've been checking out this site for a while and joined a couple of weeks ago. I read about this site a few years back in mopar muscle magazine.
