Electric fan runs all the time

I agree, it holds the settings with the battery disconnected. I’m sure at some point if it sat long enough they might have to be re-entered, but I know I’ve left my battery switch off for days and even weeks at a time and the settings held.

    [WANTED] 67 - 69 Dart hood

Erie auto wrecking ( I 25 and Erie Blvd?) has a few Darts. Speedway just east of them has a 68. I don't recall if it had a hood. They do have a GTS hood sitting on another car but it's in really bad shape.

    New member from Colorado

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I just got my first A body Mopar, a 68 Dodge Dart 270. I bought this car from a guy who converted it to a dedicated race car and I'm in the process of converting it back to a street car. It has 440, 727 and 8 3/4 rear end.

    Boise on fire

I woke up this morning at 5:30 ( hockey habit ) and smelled smoke in the air . Checked my phone and it turns out the fire is within 3 miles of my house ! I had to run some errands then go to work at noon . Now the fire is within 2 miles. Here is a pic 1 block from my house looking accross rhe...

    Annoying ticking sound while driving.

A bit tricky to do with a manual but if you can safely load up the engine with the hood up you might be able to see the engine rock. Also look at the blade tips and the inside of the shroud for signs of contact. Another thought is if the thrust bearing is going maybe the crank is moving and...

    Holley Carb ID

Post the numbers from base plate , throttle body and metering plates . I have a Holley list book and can look up the applications tomorrow. I have done that before on carbs with choke horn milled off.

    Annoying ticking sound while driving.

Funny, my dad was actually telling me it could be the fan. That could make sense. I'll have to get under there and see what I can find. The engine mounts looked brand new but I will take another look. It's a manual so don't need to worry about the flex plate.

    Annoying ticking sound while driving.

Check your driveshaft for possible interference. Maybe a weight is hitting the exhaust under acceleration ? Which tou might not hear in lower gears due to engine roar? Stab in the dark

Upgrades to my stock 273 67 Dart GT

Thank you! I am super excited to make the car way louder. One of the workers at the shop started my car and actually told me he could barely tell it started because of how quiet it was.... After reading through the replies I will most likely wait on headers. Will dual pipes and two new...

Cool thanks, let me know if you think of anything. I don't recall feeling anything in the shifter but I'll go for a drive tomorrow and see.

    What Engine Is This?

Slitting hairs again . The question was what is this engine . I would presume he asked because it was built in 66 but 318s didn’t come out until the 1967 model year . The answer is it’s a 318 built in 66 for 67 models. Simple enough ….

Upgrades to my stock 273 67 Dart GT

yeah you can do duals off your stock manifolds. then down the line when you install headers you just hack the system back and connect it in. you'll need two mufflers, so either another one of those if it's what you want and it fits or two mas.

    Rod Bolts

If you are doing a basic rebuild and do not have the rods resized, then I would not worry about new bolts. If you are having the rods resized and/or doing a high performance rebuild, then I would get new bolts. Like @Brooks James said, check prices. It may be cheaper to buy new rods.

channel and bracket - door glass rear channel

Yeah I am pretty sure it’s what I need. I have not been able to find it elsewhere, classic industries for example had no idea about it!

Pretty sure the original 3310s were 4150, two metering blocks and v/s. From about 3310-2 on up to wherever they are now, ( 3310-23?) they were 4160s, with a rear metering plate. Cathedral fuel bowls mean it's probably a 3310- 2 or later.

Upgrades to my stock 273 67 Dart GT

TY so much for the detailed reply. I have another stupid question. I can do duals from my stock exhaust manifolds? I do not need to change anything or get headers to do that? Once I buy headers down the line would it just be as simple as bolting them to the rest? Also the muffler I attached...

    Rod Bolts

I can't tell you how many times I've had the same question. I was under the impression that After $ for resizing and bolts it's almost more worth it to buy new rods

channel and bracket - door glass rear channel

I believe there's a rubber type material inserted in the bracket. They might be calling the rubber "channel". Company is legit, they're a little over an hour away from me.

Quick question for those of you who run a Dakota Digital fan controller. If you disconnect the battery for whatever reason, do the settings for the controller need to be re-entered?

    fuel filler problems

That looks similar to my routing. If it is pinched, it's not pinched enough to restrict the venting. I've blown compressed air through it and it seems fine. Plus if it was restricted, I wouldn't expect to burp gasoline from it. Below is what was originally installed in my car before I...

    Cam Phasing

Then youve seen a bunch of **** screwed together by morons. Bolts can carry (small) load in shear depending on the material and the fit (friction) between parts but they are designed really for carrying a load in tension and should be used as such. Keys and keyways are a much better way of...
