My all original '70 Swinger 340 (with the build sheet) came with non power K-H disc brakes and non power steering. Strangely enough, it was ordered with factory A/C. (code H51).

X2! Years ago I had to make a trip to an optometrist to remove a wire strand that departed the wheel, made it around my safety glasses, and embedded itself in my eye. I wear full goggles now whenever I use a wire wheel.

I didn't realize he was trying to take off fossilized undercoating. I would try some aircraft epoxy remover. The gel, not the liquid, with a nylon scraper.

You might consider a HF soda blaster. It isn't as good as a sand blaster, but it'll get you close, and no chance of warping the panel from too much heat.

In the same vein, I used some Hobby Lobby peel'n'stick numbers and clear coat to make my 408 less menacing to those who don't know better.....And thanks for the hood gasket source, '72. My originals are pretty parched. Ordering tomorrow for the future.

The '70 dual hood scoops are somewhat functional. The hood has 2 holes under the scoop about 4 1/8" in diameter. They even have a round gasket with a slight lip on the hood to help keep moisture out. There is no ducting from the scoop to the air cleaner, but the '70 unsilenced air cleaner has...

Will FORScan work on Mopars? I learned to use it working on my Ecoboost Mustang in the last month, I haven't tried it on anything else. If it does, it's easy to disabled the factory "as built" settings with a laptop. I'll look for a buddy with a modern Mopar and research it.
