    They both go to the control box. One controls the temperature and the other controls heat or defrost. Just move the cables manually to what it controls and mark them with a piece of tape.     The plate is a nice touch. Are you able to register the car with vintage plates in PA? In MA we can use a year of manufacture plate and sticker, of course they charge more for that privilege.

    Kevin, I can't find my pictures but it's just a regular phillips head either #6 or 8 self tapping screw about 5/16-3/8 long. I used new hardware on mine (I had an original screw to copy) but dulled the plating with a scotch-brite pad so it wouldn't be too shiny.
