    Well that escalated quickly.

Progress! Had an Aurora design kit put in the stock radio. Repainted a spare radio bezel and installed 2x3 ways in the package tray and 2x5" in the original dash location using the original mounting hardware. Works and sounds great!

Time to play "Which Color Windlace is it?"

I’m not forgetting. The original windlace is in good shape and UV fade would be less in hidden areas and tucked in portions of windlace. It is not the right color. It’s more brown.

Time to play "Which Color Windlace is it?"

I ordered a sample of door seal for my Pearl White/Gold interior 1965 Dart in the color I thought it was and it's wrong. Good thing I just didn't order. Colored one's can't be returned apparently. Has anyone done the windlace in this color combo? Which is the right one?

So is the electronic ignition box supposed to shock you?

Yeah. Well the slide show answers that question. It’s supposed to bite you. I’ll clean up the grounds and add lock washers anyway.

So is the electronic ignition box supposed to shock you?

If that little round silver doodad is the transistor, yeah I probably touched it. It wasn’t a big shock. Doesn’t the box ground through the housing? The box should be well grounded, it’s securely screwed tight to the passenger side fender well. I could take it off, clean the screws and scrape...

So is the electronic ignition box supposed to shock you?

So I was driving to the local Friday car meet at the burger place and i was sitting at a light a couple minutes. Car was fully warmed up, ran great for 10 miles or so then just quit. It didn’t stall. It didn’t sputter. It just was running great then not running. I crank it once. Nothing. Crank...

    Well that escalated quickly.

Welp got it to the point I can drive it. All the dash parts sent for refinishing. Radio sent for modernizing. I guess I’m doing the interior this winter.

    Well that escalated quickly.

OER. Classic sells them as well as a bunch of vendors. They are more chromey than OEM though.

    It’s the little things.

    Well that escalated quickly.

Put the gauges in the repop dash. It’s got chrome where it shouldn’t but it’s pretty. I’ll probably be eventually looking for a good NOS dash to restore. The original was very far gone and broken.

    Well that escalated quickly.

A little late for that lol. So far it’s gone really well and I’m having a great time. It’s going to look awesome.
  19. Stumpy

    Well that escalated quickly.

No one yet. That’s the original dash pad lol. It’s pretty nice but has cracks.

    [WANTED] Looking for 8.75 Differential

Looking to purchase an 8.75 rear-end to go in my early A body 273 Power Pack 4-speed 65 Dart. A body preferred but not required. What I really need is the housing but will consider all. Shipping is too expensive so looking to pick up somewhere in Pacific NW. Have truck will travel. I...

1965 Dodge Dart stock differential advice

Just throwing this out there. After considering replacing the stock whiny 7.25 open diff in my mostly original 273 Power Pack, 4-speed 65 Dart with an 8.25, I decided that given how much I'd be spending to put in an 8.25 and things I have to change, I'd rather put a period correct diff in it...

    74 duster 8.25 swap into 65 Dart 7.25?

So here’s the deal. I was hoping to get an abody 8.75 made out of unobtainium but someone has offered me a free 8.25 diff out of a 74 318 Duster to replace the whiny 7.25 in my 65 273 HiPo 4 Speed car. I think this Diff would be more than adequate. The info he has says the spring perches are the...

Making a model of my 1965 Dart.

Didn't work on the model much over summer. Too busy with the 1:1 version. With smoke and rain the last couple weeks got some stuff done. I roughed in the underbody and engine compartment from the doner 69 Dart kit and modified the interior and dash from the original kit to look more like a 65...
