Yes it is, I love the color on my dart but the paint is so thin that Im starting to see bare metal on the sides of the car.

Yea, the motor seized up, I have yet to pull it out of the car and take a look as to what happened.

Thanks for all your suggestions! I think im starting to lean in the slant 6 direction, as I dont think an engine swap is within my ability as a mechanic just yet. Im sure I will have more opportunities in the future to fulfill my v8 crave.

I see so kinda the same issue, another solution I can think of (although might sound stupid), is to cut and swap the ends of the driveshafts so that way the 66’ shaft could accommodate the Ball and Trunnion tranny. Would that be possible?

Would a 727 mount to the 273? I have one at my disposal, I realize that the driveshaft would have to be shortened.

Could that be avoided by getting a later v8 904?

The rest of the car is in its stock condition, I figure whether I keep the slant or not im gonna get beefier brakes an torsions bars at some point.

I have never done any sort of motor swap or transmission repair before, but I do have some buddies that have alot more experience that are willing to help.

Ok, so from what i'm getting is that i'm a little in over my head in terms of 360 swapping the dart. If the slant already in the car turns out to be rebuildable, what can I do to it to get it over 200hp? And with what budget would this be achievable?

Thank you this is great information! On the topic of 273 exhaust manifolds, is there any way to get more flow out of them? That might be the only option as I don't have the money for headers.
