    12:05 Garage- ’70 Duster build

Project Cheap & Nasty Updated With Back Story

So I got all of Cheap & Nasty's valves lapped in. All the valves look great, but a few of the exhaust seats do have some pits. They'll have to do, because this is cheap & nasty. Also, the green stripe valve springs are a little fatter and a little taller than the unmarked slant 6 valve springs I...

New rallye dash replacement gauges/tachs (some insider news from the supplier)

I am looking for a rally dash bezel for my 69 AC car. Do you have any laying around? The bezel In the car I just bought was hacked up to install aftermarket radio. I may need the actual dash also, at least the center metal section where the AC controls and radio mounts in.

Best Burnout Process with Full Auto 727

I ALWAYS do my burn outs starting in 2nd gear with a manual valve body. Once the tires begin to smoke, shift to high gears and release the brakes. If you are running a stock valve body, it gets a "little" iffy. You might want to invest in a transmission shield or blanket, One or the other might...

    Transmission oil

My manual transmission rebuilder says not to use synthetic oil on the transmission; but I saw a thread suggesting Redline MT-80 which is a synthetic oil. It advertises to be used in manual transmissions.

    Headlight Question

Just for grins, I looked back at where I ordered the kits, and the price has now more than doubled: $33.46, which is still one hell of a deal, just not as great as it was.

    Intake upgrade?

The Super Victor was produced for higher RPM race motors, in my opinion. Stroker motors like big plenums at higher RPM. I don't think you will gain anything with it as a street intake.

    Intake Fitment

Most machine shops have a tool to check what the angle of the intake should be cut at. You will need to get the intake fitted before you go any farther. This probably was not done before installing the intake. Take starting fluid and give small squirts around the parting line at the intake...

    What's your favorite pen

I've been carrying a Cross pen and pencil set my wife gave me for my 60th birthday, I DO NOT loan them out. I let someone use the pen one day and had to track them down to get it back, hence I give them a throw down pen.

Since we moved into the current house in 2013, we've had 2 kids come to the door, total. Today is about 50*, which is not uncommon for this time of year, sunny, very little wind, doubt we'll see any ghouls tonight.
