That power brake booster exchange place wants $350-$400 to rebuild it. I know good brakes are important, but........ Maybe I can rebuild it myself, how hard can it be? Are there any brand identifying marks on the booster anywhere?

You are correct. It's just I see people buy rusted up stuff all the time and then ask me to fix it. I always tell someone to start with a rust free body at least the floor, frame and quarters. Doors and fenders are easy.
