Just be aware that the early 340 manifolds cost a lot more than they did 15-20 years ago. I sold mine for enough money to pay for the TTI headers.

I believe Mancini's were offering repop versions of the 340 manifolds, which port size etc will fit best imho. I'm just taking off manifolds from my grandson's 273 to put headers on .

Funny you ask im doing a T/A tribute so doing this exhaust which should be factory T/A challenger bend style since it uses the same manifolds to connect to A-Body T/A Exhaust System (1967-1974)-

IMHO you are always better to use the best manifolds for the car you have. There is a reason they were made specific for your car. Generally the older the better, exhaust manifolds got pretty ridiculous as time went on. You can buy ready to go exhaust and use factory tips and hangers...

I didn't mean cast manifolds, I was wondering about some kind of tubular manifolds made from header tubing into a log style tubular "manifold" with an outlet similar to a regular cast type manifold. I certianly understand all the steps to produce cast manifolds.

Even a stock 340 will see benefits from a full 3" exhaust with 3" constant diameter mufflers. That is, AS LONG AS the collector diameter is at least 3". If you're running 340 manifolds, then 2.5 is about as big as you can go.

It would have power wise for sure but still cast crank etc should have also come with a bigger then the 340 cam 340 will always be the Baby Hemi Forged crank full floating rods windage tray hp manifolds and 2.02s =big block killer
