i have a 440 came from motor home had the long dipstick and tube. i ordered one from summit and installed it but does not show oil on stick how many quarts does it take . i have 5 quarts in it do i need more. its a stock 187 pan

replacing rod bearings in my 440 . the bearings that were in there had a number da-49 10-74 , they also have a round hole at one end when two halves are put together . the ones i recieved has no hole when put together. from looks of i need those holes and are those standard size...
