ok well put in new regulator, it is a little better, the alternator is a newer autozone type replacement, there is a ground strap from the block to the firewall, it still does it a bit when idling, but it has a radical (for a 273) cam in it so it does not idle smoothly. It seems under rpms it...

66 dart-I need the clips that hold the "fingers" that you push in to control the air on the car. These are plastic clips that you push the fingers into. Dodge dealer says they are no longer made.

I am missing this piece and someone told me that the hood lip molding is the same on a 65 coronet as my 66 dart gt Can someone shed some light on this? they actually make a hood lip reproduction for the coronet.

I need the D-O-D-G-E on the front of the hood and the "GT" sail panel emblems. Laysons does not carry these aftermarket right now because of some licensing issue. Can anyone help me find these, or can I use a similar model for the D-O-D-G-E letters? Thanks in advance.

I don't see the finned valve covers just plain ones, and I have not looked closely at the distributor, I am assuming this was an original 2bbl car as it is, but I think the info you gave me should help.

I have found my new to me 66 dart has the original 273, and the vin code shows a 273, but no way to know if it was originally a 4bbl car. The car has the correct 4bbl intake, but has a weber 500 cfm 4bbl and does not have the finned valve covers. So that makes me think it was an original 2bbl...
